speed freak eats hair. film at 11.

This proves, once and for all, that I have lost my ability to multitask. (It went when I had Miles and then REALLY went when I started the photography business. I think it’s my brain’s way of saying, “I’m Maxed out. One thought at a time please!”) You should see me cook and watch TV….

Bets, Okay, too funny because Nick and I JUST went to see Juno on Saturday too!! We both loved it equally as much as you guys did (Nick loved Juno’s dad and Allison Janney as her step-mom was brilliant!). I have to admit, even though the part at the end (with the note .. that’s all I’ll say!) had me feeling a little misty-eyed, I didn’t cry over this one (and I don’t have kids yet). If you liked this movie, you guys HAVE to rent Lars and the Real Girl when it comes out. Juno reminds me so much of Lars in some way (b/c it’s super-sweet too) and don’t let the fact it’s about a man and a doll fool you! It’s the most PG movie I’ve seen all year!

Yeah for you guys getting to see a movie by the way! And great review!

It’s so funny that today was your first movie since Miles… today was our first movie since Eli!! 🙂 We went and saw National Treasure 2… you know me the geeky history teacher. But it was a good movie, but it was weird to be out and about without Eli.

Well Abby, it was our third Movie, I think. Maybe 4th, but doesnt’ matter, it’s MUCH, MUCH less than what we used to say! Yippee for getting out and seeing a movie! You go!

Now you need to go see juno, though you will never look at your students the same again! ; )

Can’t wait to see it! thanks for the trailer and personal review, Bets! And to Gail’s comment, I have heard nothing but fabulous things about Lars And The Real Girl, so that’s now on my ever-growing list of movies that I need to see.

Can’t wait to see you guys! xo, Erin

Hi Betsy, I just wanted to say hi, my husband and I both enjoy your blog very much! Love the pictures; keep them coming!

Juno looks really good! Now I want to see it!

studios or snuggles?

Category: photography I was at a client’s home last month, a mother of three little girls, and she shared with me her last experience with a department store photo studio. (I’ll be nice and not name names.) They were photographing one of her girls and they hadn’t quite gotten the shot when the photographer, obviously,…

I thought you hit the nail right on the head! What you described is exactly how i felt about the one year photos you took of Olivia. Her personality came out more and more as the shoot went on. Your passion for photography is so strong and that is reflected in the amazing work that you do for your clients. Happy New Year! Here is to much success in 2008!

Betsy, the only problem with you is that you are addictive. I am now a proud lurker of your blog. AND…. I am calling you soon for more pics. I am so in love with my boys pics, I need more. I’m thinking a cool shot for valentines Day.

Ok… so I just have to comment in defense of the department store photog. I’m not in any way defending how she handled the family… that’s extremely rude to speak to a client that way. What i’m getting at though, is that I see lots of people bashing photographers that work at studios like that. 99% of the time though, it’s really not the photographers fault that people have poor experiences…. it’s the company. I work part-time at a studio like that. We have 10 minutes in the camera room… THAT’S ALL the company gives us. Which is upsetting for people… but is especially upsetting to the photographer who has to do damage control all day trying to explain it to people. All I ask is this, any time you hear a story like that… or have a person complain to you about a studio like that… stick up for the photographer. We work hard. The companies are just run by idiots who only care about the dollar… not the people. The photographers on the other hand(the majority i’ve met at least) care about the people… because we’re sure as heck not doing it for the great pay ; )

Finally! A blog template

Category: miles Category: photography For a while now it has been on my very long list of “To Do’s” to create a template to pop my photos into when I blog. Well, tonight, we gave up our Friday night (and sacrificed my favorite jeans that got dried all the way when I forgot to take…

Ok, Miles can give us this lip when ever he wants. ; ) Just hung out with our awesome friends bobbi+mike. How lucky did we get that they are our friends? We have been so blessed this year to have met some completely cool new friends and it all started with getting to know them… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
