all boy

John and I are constantly amazed at how Miles gravitates towards stereotypical “boy stuff” without us directing him in any way. As you may know we have a pretty sports-free home and I think our toys are pretty gender neutral. However, for Miles, if it’s shaped like a ball, i.e. a rolled up sock, orange,…

I have started reading your blog after hearing Denise (MJC) rave about you. I had to comment on this post. We lost our precious SUMO WONTON BEIJING JONES a few years ago (black chinese pug). He was our “little man”. So I know the love you feel for your babies. Sumo was like a child to us too. Your babies are just beautiful.

matilda jane project: Mighty Acorns

“From tall oaks, mighty acorns grow.” In additional to girls and ladies clothing, Matilda Jane has a boys line called the Mighty Acorns. (CUTEST name for a boy’s clothing line EVER, Huh?) Here’s Gabe, a very mighty little acorn himself. Such a precious little guy. Does he look familar? He and his brother Joe are…

scary monday afternoon + a ton of photos

Today was one of those afternoons that we were starving and our old stand bye dinner wasn’t going to cut it, so Miles slammed a banana while I threw my hair in a pony and we headed off to Pizza Hut. We had nice comfy dinner and Miles amazed us with his tape recorder skills…

Oh Bets! Sending you big (((((HUGS)))))! I’m so sorry and really hope Stamp is okay! How scary!

  • JessicaApril 22, 2008 - 8:21 am

Betsy – so sorry to hear what you went through last night. I cannot imagine what it was like. I hope that Stamp is ok and that you never have to go through that again! Love all of the pics!

  • KristinApril 22, 2008 - 3:06 pm

Hey Bets. I called John this afternoon to send our well wishes for Stamp and let you know that our pup when through that same thing 2 years ago and it’s never happened since. So very scary, but praying that it was a fluke for Stamp too. Love you. xo

  • Pampered BunzApril 22, 2008 - 4:05 pm

Yikes…I hope it was a fluke thing, not something regular. Best wishes.

I hope Stamp is doing better! I know what you are going through, scary! I actually have two wonderful pugs. My Buster has epilepsy and currently takes phenobarbitol. He is doing great, living a happy, healthy, normal live. Best wishes to you all. We are thinking of your dear Stamp!

Ha! You called us your mom because we read the whole post! LOL, sorry to hear about your crisis, it is awfully hard to watch. I think with animals it’s different too because if you aren’t a vet you feel clueless because you aren’t a dog either, kwim?

Miles is so cute, love the babbling Lydia is doing too. She says, “Weeewee” which translates loosely to really. She shakes her head condescendingly while she does it too because my husband does it in jest…good times~

Betsy-what a story about Stamp’s seizure. I have a pug too who also has had seizures. He is now medicated and you would never ever know he has epilepsy. They are so scary and so hard to watch. Your pugs are adorable! Your son is a cutie as well!

soggy sunday morning

Some of you have been wondering if Miles is still around since I haven’t had him on the blog much. Of course he is! Despite all the work I’ve been busy with, he is still the star of the show around here. (No sleep and housework? That totally takes a backseat.) So here are some…

Betsy – What a great post! Not only are the pictures of Miles so adorable, but I totally agree with what you said in your last paragraph. We were at the zoo today and this very nice couple just started talking to us out of the blue. I just thought that it would be so nice if more people were that friendly and willing to be that kind. I am with you…I will send good thoughts out to our communtities, as well as those families that are suffering right now. I hate to think of our kids growing up in a society that is full of anything other than love!

Hey Betsy and John:) Thanks for the new photos of Miles!! YEH!! I totally agree with you – those cheecks of his are something else – – and his EYES are sooooo blue and big. WOW! Thanks for sharing the kind message about peace and love. You are so right – thanks for the inspiration:) Anne

it has been unbelievable what’s going on in fort wayne–we had the youth pray for it yesterday morning. our community does need some serious love and unity.

That is the best party trick I have ever heard of! He’s such a doll. Great seeing you this weekend at the shower! xo

Matilda Jane: Day 1

This was day one for my Matilda Jane Photo shoot. It was beautiful all week and then crrrappppy on the day of my shoot with these little girls. Their moms were awesome to give me their girls for an afternoon of jumping in and outside for a few minutes at a time to capture some… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
