i believe the yellow we’ve use in our old house and here is labrador yellow and you can get it at home depot. it is a nice soft yellow – but saturated. I like the canary, but if you are looking for something softer – you might try that-

Miles is a doll on that ladder – gotta love little helpers!

Must be something about Mondays and randomness because I titled a post on my blog the very same thing this week. 😉 However my pictures were of the stomach-turning type. Wish I had some advice about painting colors but I tend to pick crazy and loud hues that don’t often speak to others as they do me… :S

(BTW, every time I post a comment here, it keeps doing the little “processing comment” circle thingy and never completes itself. I have to click around a bit and then double check that it actually went through… No biggie but thought I’d let you know!)

John was shooting with a 70-200 2.8 and yes, he was afraid he was going to get hit in the face (or lens.) He was behind a net that he would duck behind if he had to. Many times he thought the ball was RIGHT THERE in front of him and he would jump, but of course, it wasn’t. : )

wall project done! (for now….)

Had to throw a quickie update on the blog on my living room wall project. John is awesome. He just hung these this morning and Miles is awesome because he slept through the banging of his hammering. It was a rainy morning, so not a lot of light to photograph these, but you get the…

New blogstalker here! My husband and I just painted our dining area yellow, and I love how creamy it is, so I thought I’d give you a suggestion. Valspar paint from Lowes… the color name is Champagne Tickle. It looks really light on the swatch, but once it covers a whole room it adds a nice subtle creamy yellow. Ok– back to editing pictures. =)

my first canvas print

This photo…. Plus a totally boring bathroom with empty walls= The motivation to buy my first canvas print! (It’s not hung in the bathroom yet, just in the hall for now.) Here it is! I love how the toothbrush Miles is holding wraps around the edge of the canvas print. And yes, it is printed…

  • Jess NilesJune 30, 2008 - 12:36 pm

That shot is so awesome I would hang it in MY bathroom! (How does canvas hold up in moist bathrooms anyway?)

baby paint!

This morning John and I took Miles to the cutest 40 minutes of our week: a baby paint class at the community center. They had the most adorable teachers, fresh out of college and bright eyed and bushy tailed. The paint was edible and they kept changing the activities every few minutes. It’s was great….
