friday night randomness

Today we were horsing around before dinner and I asked Miles to give daddy a kiss and what did he do? Leaned forward and puckered up for me!!!! Miles is such a baby genius, he probably knew I had my 28mm lens on and that he would look a bit fish eye-ish and did it…

Betsy, you’re killing me. I love your randomness. 😉 Elbows are weird things, aren’t they? Knees too. I can always laugh at knees. Sa-weet haircut.

  • KrisAugust 31, 2008 - 9:40 pm

Betsy, no kidding… you actually look quite a bit like Jennifer Aniston in those pics… dont you think?!?

  • MayaSeptember 2, 2008 - 12:13 am

Jennifer has inspired me before too on the hair! Isn’t she a great best friend?! 🙂 Love the new haircut!

That comment about Jennifer Aniston killllllled me. You’re too cute Bets.

Lauren: Class of 2009

Lauren, who I just heard on Facebook got accepted into college, (woo hoo!) rocked her senior photos and was so laid back and up for anything. As I mentioned before, even hopping (barefoot) into a pool that probably hadn’t seen chlorine since she was in elementary school. She wasn’t alone though, there were plenty of…

Wow, the slideshow thingy is neat, as well as the photos! Bet it takes a bit of savvy to get them timed that well! Another great job guys!

  • MayaSeptember 2, 2008 - 12:14 am

    Love the slideshow!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Mike!!

So I’m totally copying off of the Amazzzzing Heather Cole here, but I too wanted to send a big ‘ol Happy Birthday shout out to Mike of Bobbi + Mike. First of all, Bobbi and I are soooo alike. (Think hyper, short attention spans, change subjects quickly, emotional and sensitive) and Mike, like my hubby…

Betsy, you’re way too nice 🙂

I can’t believe you lumped poor John into the same sentence with me. What’d he do to deserve that1?

we do need to get some hangout time in again. It’s been too long. We’ve got a few weddings in Fort Wayne this fall and I’m sure we’ll catch up with you guys then!

Much love to you, John and Miles (ok…and Whisper and Stamp too!)

    Have a good one!

(You know…I look like Charlie Brown holding a football in that photo)

And Mike… you kinda do 😀

    LOVE YOU BOTH!

Happy Happy Birthday Mike!! Hope it was wonderful!

monkey mookin around

Tonight, as I was squeezing my little guy, his precious little face looked like a “monkey mook” to me. I can’t explain it, he just did. I’m weird like that. I named my dogs, “Whisper” and “Stamp” so weird names come to me often. (Though I have to say that Andy totally helped me name…

Love your kitchen! All that stainless and a kitchen aid too, did I mention I hate you? LOL, our next house we’ll personalize this one is soon to be a rental so we kept the drab builder grade stuff. Monkey mook, he says that? How cute, Lydia says “blast off” with so much tongue and lip and spit it isn’t even funny, a regular Elmer Fudd. Good times, livin’ the dream!

    Love the kitchen color! Beautiful.

So I have a confession. I am in love with Miles. It’s just not right to think a strangers kids are as cute as your own. But I do. I just want to gobble up those cheeks. He’s at such a fun age. i just love reading about all Miles antics knowing Zeke will be there soon. What fun.

I love your kitchen! I have a desire for antique pots and pans. Flea markets are heaven sent. Oh, and definitely with you on weird names…my cat is named Mische (me-she). And I grew up in a family where my grandmother named me Whoisit (whosit), and my fathers nick name was steffy-weffy-poopoo butt. I love it, and I know Miles will love your nickname for him.

Hey Betsy! It was so great meeting you at the Free to Succeed Tour! Am I allowed to say that you are just so cute & bubbly? Haha…you seem to have such an infectious personality 🙂 Your kitchen looks amazing by the way! I just finished painting 2 rooms in my house as well – it feels great, doesn’t it?

  • DebbieAugust 28, 2008 - 4:07 pm

Love the kitchen color! It’s bright, cheery and makes me happy…just like you! 🙂

  • bobbi+August 29, 2008 - 9:37 am

the yellow is perrrrrrrrfecto!!!!! but more importantly… that photo of your baby miles peeking out from those blankets… i love that baby so much. And john on the floor smiling, AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! can we be you when we grow up?!

I so love your kitchen! thanks for continuing to post your home improvement projects. They help inspire me, and your discussion of choosing large canvasses is really helpful. You actually motivated me to get an 8×10 instead of a 5×7 as the largest size photo when I ordered some recent prints. Now I just have to get brave and order an 11×17….. but before I do that I need to get a good photo. Any chance you’ll post some tips for getting good shots of babies with point-and-shoot cameras? (there are probably tons of links out there, I’ll do my own googling… but I do love the way you talk about and explain things, so I’m throwing that out there!) Stephanie

Your kitchen looks great! I love the vintage canisters. I’m always looking for something cool like that! The yellow looks so cheery!

  • MeganSeptember 3, 2008 - 2:43 pm

Bets I love the color! It looks great. It’s rare for me to see a post on your blog that doesn’t have people in it. You do a great job with or without them!

  • rebecca-linh rodgersSeptember 5, 2008 - 12:57 am

you are TOO cute. I love it! (and so have the blank wall think going on over here too!)
