can we do Halloween again tomorrow?

We had an AWESOME Halloween night! I figured Miles would walk with us to a couple houses and it really wouldn’t be that big of an evening. Um, nope! The opposite! He walked all by himself up to the houses, ran the doorbell, said, “Ding dong!” instead of trick or treat and picked out candy…

OMG Betsy – these are so cute!!! Your boy is just the sweetest thing ever! And you can come trick or treat at my house! 🙂

  • courtneyNovember 1, 2008 - 11:48 am

Oh he is just the most adorable little man I’ve ever seen!! 🙂 I want a squishy little puppy just like him! haha!

  • CandiceNovember 1, 2008 - 10:28 pm

Cutest.puppy.EVER! That is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a long time. 🙂 And wasn’t the weather perfect?! It’s the first Halloween in the Fort that I can remember that the costumes didn’t have to fit over a snowsuit because it was soooo cold. Yay!

  • MayaNovember 3, 2008 - 4:51 pm

How cute is he! Sounds like he did much better than Zane!

  • AmandaNovember 3, 2008 - 11:41 pm

Way too cute! =) Our little guy LOVES dogs, so he would dig such a costume and have fun barking all night. 😉

more curls and a giggle

I had a hair cut tonight and instead of having my hair chick straighten the daylights out of it, I told her to go ahead and let my hair go curly and go nuts with it. I asked her to make it as big as she could. Well she did and it’s AWESOME!! I hope…

  • bobbi+October 31, 2008 - 6:53 am

  • courtneyOctober 31, 2008 - 8:04 am

Oooh la la! I love the hair!! It looks great, I wish my hair could do that, but alas… i have no natural curls. 🙂

  • Jess (studio3z)October 31, 2008 - 8:07 am

  • Kate "Phenomenal" MartinOctober 31, 2008 - 3:15 pm

BETSY KING! Are you k-k-k-kiiiiiddddinnng me with that hair! YOU ARE GORGEOUS! Babe you better ROCK those curls a LOT more often! You look HOT!

  • BarbOctober 31, 2008 - 3:32 pm

your hair is FAB-U-LOUS! (Think Samantha from SATC or Sharpay from HSM whichever makes you feel better!) 🙂 I have naturally curly hair and NEVER straighten it, and I get compliments on how women are jealous about it being naturally curly, which i love since i’m a no-frills person. From a curly to a curly. . .Let the fro rule more often. You will feel beautiful! 🙂 Which, you already are, but you know what I am trying to say.

  • cristyOctober 31, 2008 - 11:14 pm

How great is your hair like that! I don’t honestly think it is fair that you can have both super curly perfection and then straight Courtney Cox perfection…seriously…is that even fair? Can I tell you how excited I am though?

  • JohnNovember 1, 2008 - 12:08 am

Ditto what Ms. “Phenomenal” Martin said!

  • rachelNovember 1, 2008 - 2:57 am

Bets!!! I pay too much money on cuts and product trying to get even 1/10 of that volume. I’m lovin’ it. You’re H.O.T.

  • MayaNovember 3, 2008 - 4:50 pm

This makes me want curly hair instead of stick straight!!!

a punkin and some pumpkins 4 U

Just had to hop on before bed to show you Miles’ story time for his new Cookie Monster slippers. (Yep, I’ve jumped on the licenced character bandwagon. Never thought I would see the day.) I would say Miles LOVES his slippers, which he kind of does, but they impede him from trying on our shoes,…

  • DoodleBunzOctober 30, 2008 - 9:35 am

Those are cool! I’m right with you on the totally freehand ones…guess I’m old-school like that.

  • cristyOctober 30, 2008 - 10:15 am

Are you kidding me? These are the greatest pumpkins ever! Martha Stewart watch out. And Jazz hands…how can not look at that one and laugh. So cute.

  • cristyOctober 30, 2008 - 10:16 am

Oh…and I see Miles has good taste in reading material 😉 Man I love Crew Cuts.

  • GailOctober 30, 2008 - 10:48 am

These pumpkins are the BOMB! (and yep, throwing a total ’90s saying in there). Seriously, for free-handing these suckers, you did an awesome job. Goodness, with that many pumpkins, how much “guts” got left all over your floor? haha..HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  • AndreaOctober 30, 2008 - 11:23 am

These pumpkins are awesome…great job guys!!

  • KristinOctober 30, 2008 - 12:40 pm

    Niiice!

curls, curls, curls.

This weekend’s shoot was for a friend of mine who I have known since I was around 4 years old, I think. Which means I have known her for as long as I can remember. Susan, and her sisters Wendy and Jen were a second family that lived right next door to me and we… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

These are AWESOME Betsy!!! I can not wait to see all of them! Thank you so much for capturing our family. I have so many memories of us growing up together . . . I totally forgot about the pretend “giving birth”!!! You were probably pulled into raking and picking up leaves, picking up fallen apples, and carrying split wood up the hill too (in addition to picking up sticks)!! Do you know that you had a distinct door-bell ring? We always knew it was you by the way you rang the door bell! Really!!!

The hair. . . don’t do much, I use cheap shampoo/conditioner ($1 stuff) and then “currly” gel + mousse + hair spray (currently Herbal Essence) to make sure the curls are not a frizz fest later in the day. I let everything air dry . . . Actually I haven’t dried my hair with a hair dryer for over 10 years!! Jim pulled the hair dryer out last winter to thaw the bathroom pipes and aksed if it worked. . . I had no idea!!!

Thanks again Bets!!! You and John are AWESOME at what you do!

  • WendyOctober 28, 2008 - 10:39 am

    Betsy,

These are great! I can’t wait to see them all! Hopefully you’ll post them or I can see them over Christmas.

    Susan,

I can’t believe how much Ari has grown (again). In the first picture I did a double take — I thought she was Nadiya. Until of course I saw the string bean that Nadiya is now. 🙂

    Love, Wendy
