look ma, no hands!

Just like every proud parent, we beamed with pride at this hilarious achievement. Our boy is so talented! I have about 42 photos of him sucking a glass to his face. You are lucky I didn’t make another collage. You do get one more. Here he is putting his back into it a bit. Love…

  • LeslieFebruary 18, 2009 - 2:22 pm

I almost said “hilarious,” and then noticed Annie said the same thing! So, I’ll just tell you I laughed out loud. This picture made my otherwise dreary morning! I would love to see a collage of all 42! 🙂

  • BarbFebruary 18, 2009 - 5:42 pm

So,…will you show him how to make a spoon stick to his nose?

  • Jessica ParkisonFebruary 18, 2009 - 7:16 pm

I vote for a collage too. Then have it printed as a poster! I pulled up the blog then ran to the other room before it loaded and I hear Oliver yell “Miles!!!” He can’t even say his friends names correctly who he is around 3 days a week! I think he has a fan club!

  • Kelly (Daphne Photo Studio)February 19, 2009 - 5:53 pm

our valentine’s day

We celebrated Valentine’s day on Friday this year. We wanted to avoid the rush of Saturday night and to be truthful, the expense of it too. So we played hooky, (Shhhh, don’t tell our bosses!) dropped Miles off at our neighbor’s to play and headed out to lunch at a fabulous restaurant we hadn’t been…

  • Jessica ParkisonFebruary 17, 2009 - 1:58 pm

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Everyone loves their babies but it is so awesome when you can have dinner without playing peekaboo or entertaining a 2 year old! Glad you enjoyed your date day!

  • Jess (studio3z)February 17, 2009 - 3:49 pm

Those flowers are b-e-a-utiful. How cute that Miles says they smell “tasty”! 🙂 How wise of you to get out for V-day the day before. We happened to be in the fort for the weekend so my parents watched Ella for us. Mark took me to Casa and a movie which is just what I wanted. 🙂

  • SarahFebruary 17, 2009 - 6:42 pm

Those flowers are stunning. I bet they smell tasty too. lol

my simple valentine

I think that love resides in the simple things that surround us in our everyday life. The balloon still blowing around our house from Miles’ birthday party, the chair we snuggle up in for story time, the painting made just for us, a note from a dear friend or the even the crazy guitar we…

Girl, this is a collage on steroids! But so cute …

I like that you were literally seeing red 😉

  • BetsyFebruary 14, 2009 - 10:32 pm

I’m actually really embarressed that I took the time to do this. It takes procrastination of important stuff to a whole new level. It started out as a photography exercise or project and just morphed into this. I don’t watch much tv though, so this is how I spend my evenings. 🙂

  • MelFebruary 14, 2009 - 11:53 pm

    Awesome collage, love it!

  • Maya LaurentFebruary 15, 2009 - 2:54 am

rush hour

Here’s John, right after he made his 5:00 commute from his studio at the front of our house to the big mommy and daddy bed to do a little reading with Miles. Of course Stamp had to hop up to pose for the photo. I swear, that pug wants to be a model. She can’t…

Hi Betsy. I have been a lurker of your blog for a few months now. I love to see what you guys are up to!

I also love that blue colored wall. Would you mind giving what color and where you got it?

  • JamieFebruary 14, 2009 - 7:21 am

Awww such sweet shots of your boys. Never get tired of seeing those big blues from Miles. Can’t wait to see the new look!

Oh, man these are SO sweet! I’ve gotta stop by your blog more often 🙂

playing with light

What a day! Miles went to go play at my neighbor’s house this morning and I cleaned for 3 hours straight. (This rarely happens, as I usually have to just clean in little bursts when I can.) That felt great, but even after cleaning for 3 hours I still didn’t get to the whole house…. Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Hihi, the first one is sooo great!

  • AshleyFebruary 12, 2009 - 2:08 pm

I wish I looked like that without makeup on! Is that a blue wall, or backdrop? I love the color!

  • BetsyFebruary 12, 2009 - 2:21 pm

I can’t believe I forgot to add a photo of John’s HUGE signature grin!!!!

  • Sherry SmithFebruary 12, 2009 - 2:36 pm

    great stuff..keep playing around..love ya

  • Dennis BullockFebruary 12, 2009 - 3:10 pm

I really need to play more with light. So was this a softbox attached to a 580 or to some sort of constant source?

  • ida in QCFebruary 12, 2009 - 7:16 pm

Wow, the colors are wonderful! Both of you look so good!! And the hat is adorable. 🙂

  • CassieFebruary 12, 2009 - 10:09 pm

How sweet is John! I can’t wait to see all of the new things you try this year!

  • Anne WoehnkerFebruary 12, 2009 - 11:46 pm

Okay, first let me say how absolutely adorable I think Stamp is. Now, with that said . . . the pic of John holding Stamp could SERIOUSLY win one of those contests titled, “Does your pet look like you?” Tell John to please take this as a compliment;) He just did too good of a Stamp pose and then it seemed like they started looking alike! CUTE! CUTE! CUTE! Bye;)

  • KristenFebruary 13, 2009 - 12:11 am

Looks awesome! I like the one of John holding the scarf and the one of you is amazing!! I’m not too smart when it comes to studio lighting but I love the catch light in yours and John’s eyes!! Looking forward to seeing Model Miles in action. 🙂

  • AprilFebruary 13, 2009 - 4:37 am

Hello?! I totally wished that’s what I looked like when I clean! Love the shallow depth of field on the portrait of you. My favorite of John is the one with the blue/green processing – very cool…

  • LeandraFebruary 14, 2009 - 4:50 am

Oh wow, he NAILED your pug’s expression! That photo is hilarious.

  • JamieFebruary 14, 2009 - 7:24 am

Love the feel of the cool shot of your hubby… looks like a little totally rad pool party action 😉

  • Maya LaurentFebruary 15, 2009 - 2:56 am

Sassy shot of girl! Do you think it’s true that they say people look like their dogs? Ha! Just kidding!

  • Maya LaurentFebruary 15, 2009 - 2:56 am

Okay I need to say that over…both the dog and John are cute of course!

  • Matt HallFebruary 17, 2009 - 10:47 pm

Oh I love it! I myself have some studio lights and backdrops. In fact too much of it. I bought it during my exploration days of photography. I also attended the One Light Workshop with Zach Arias. Fun Stuff! I just don’t get to play with it enough. Great work by the way.
