Yearly Archives: 2010

christmas 2010

What a magical Christmas we had! After our usual Christmas eve day traditions of a Christmas craft, baking and movie watching we headed out to leave a candle at Andy’s grave and out to dinner. (We didn’t make it to church this year. Maybe next year we won’t be so rushed.) After a perfect dinner…

Happy New Year! Your Christmas looks like it was a great family day for you and the kids. Wish I had some barista tricks up my sleeve for ya. I only know to sprinkle cinnamon on the grounds before you brew. Makes it smoother. Bet you’ve heard that one. Can I ask a photography question? Which lens do you use for all of your blog family shots? Just curios being a newbie photographer (and getting used to my new 50 mm lens)!

Oh Betsy…what beautiful pictures and video of the Kings Christmas. I can see that you are just having a BALL buying clothes for your baby girl (those P.J.s are just too cute for words. We were blessed with two princesses Ally 11 & Bella 7 and I must say I still love picking out their girly, girly clothes for them. I can’t believe how much baby Jossy looks like her Grandmother (your mother) what a sweet baby doll. Have a blessed New Year!

I use my 50 1.2 for most of the shots and then the wide angle ones are my 28 1.8. I have a full sensor lens though, if you have a cropped sensor, a 50 is more like an 85.

Thanks for the cinnamon tip. I hadn’t heard of that!

Thanks everybody for your sweet comments!

I always get butterflys on my way to the 4 Kings home…I am just crazy over those kids. I have been blessed with beautiful grandkids, smart and healthy,, A Grandma’s wish fulfilled. I have a sailor, 3 girl teenagers, 2 very taleted boys and a baby…WOW!! GOD is GOOD. And a son and daughter that I am very proud of.. LIFE is good.

Okay so I am just now reading your Christmas post…almost a month later! Ha! This is just too sweet. Isn’t Christmas just so much better with two little ones?!!!

look who’s five months!

I should be posting Christmas photos, but there’s so many of those, and just a few of my little Jossy B. in the bath. Plus, she just turned five months, kick starting my very favorite baby age range of 5-9 months. She is SO much fun, I can barely even stand it. Here she is,…

She is just a doll baby with the most squeezable, lovable cheeks!!! BTW: I knit up a hat to play around with on Joss and Mallory when we hit up the studio next week (checking in with Trace now to confirm the date)

And that Miles…I can’t wait to see him again. I miss that kid. Hope I make the VIP invite list 😉

PS – I was a lot like him at that age. OBSESSED with grown-ups…(ask my older siblings whose high school senior friends got to spend a LOT of time with a certain 3 year old!)

She’s such a pretty baby! That’s so funny about Miles wanting a grown up party!

Ya know…Elizabeth Taylor had lavender eyes…just sayin’.(Regardless, they’re beautiful…both of your children are gorgeous!)

Christmas night

Last summer my little family and I were on a late evening walk. We were enjoying the warm and quiet evening when all of a sudden I swore I saw what looked like a UFO in the sky. It was bigger than a star or an airplane and moving steadily across the night sky. As…

What a thoughtful gift! I may have to copy cat that idea sometime. Happy Holidays 🙂

  • CassieDecember 27, 2010 - 5:27 pm

This is SO fun!! I bet Miles loved it, too.

  • RhondaDecember 28, 2010 - 10:01 am

Ok this is seriously one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! And this is perfect timing b/c my daughter’s birthday is Jan. 18th and she is having a “Tangled” party and in the movie they release lanterns for Rapunzel’s b-day..well now I’m going to march over to Amazon myself and get some to release on her birthday!! Thank you!!

a sign of a good christmas morning…

We had an awesome Christmas morning, and here’s the proof: Hope your living room was trashed and full of excitement as well. Merry Christmas!

I’m laughing out loud alone at this post . .cause ours looks exactly like this, except MORE toys with three little ones. I was joking earlier that I was never going to see my carpet again (which wouldn’t be terribly bad since three kids also stain carpets three times faster) : ) Thanks for the laugh and reminding me that it means there are happy kids running around amidst the chaos!

Our living room looked like a bomb went off and I couldn’t WAIT for everyone to leave so I could whip out the vacuum. I was going crazy watching mess after mess appear. Now, it’s all clean.

I love this shot! And this is totally random here, but as I get ready to pull the trigger on a new couch purchase that’s light in color, I’m comforted by realizing that you CAN have kids and light furniture (as evidence here!)

almost time!

I’ve been sick and just kind of hanging on for dear life this past week. I still have gifts to wrap, but just haven’t found a single bit of time after Miles is in bed with any energy left to do it. This month has not been about togetherness at all for me and John… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
