just the beginning

For my birthday, my mom gave me this awesome book by Martha Stewart. I just LOVE it. Itโ€™s so inspiring, the photography and layout is beautiful and well done and there are plenty of simple and easy projects that I can actually do. I LOVE it. Flipping through the pages, these simple little baby blankets…

You did a GREAT job with those! I LOVE your fabric choices. You should set up an Etsy shop for your crafts!

YEAHHHHHH for sewing time with Betsy ๐Ÿ™‚ Too bad my damn apron didn’t happen…HA!

BUT, I keep looking at the baby blanket and burp cloth I made for my girlfriend and I’m in LOVE! So next time, here’s to more of THOSE kinds of projects to keep me busy!

What a great idea. I have been thinking about what I can do as a shower gift for a friend of mine. I think I’ll have to steal your idea. The fabric with the words is baby story by Heidi Grace. The fabric with the hearts is Heidi Grace too. I just found it on Joann fabrics website when I was looking at baby fabrics. So cute!

Dang it! I’m so impressed and now I want to have another baby so I can make these! ha! J/K. We’re getting a puppy in 2 weeks though. Do puppies need receiving blankets?! ;P

Hi Betsy! Now that I am expecting I had to come back and look at this post that I remembered you had posted a while back. How do you make the burp cloths?? I don’t see them in the book (I have it and love it too!!) Thanks!

this is what’s on my mind

I got to get away this weekend to go visit a dear friend for 24 hours to do some crafting for the baby and I got to sew a sweet little stack of baby blankets. Just having an open ended amount of time to stroll through a fabric store was luxurious enough, let alone the…

saltwater paint

One of my favorite free time projects when I was a kid was to do a salt technique with watercolor paints. I was much older than Miles, of course, but I figured Miles would still think it was fun to explore. So hereโ€™s Miles, doing a little abstract watercolor painting, getting plenty of water on…

FOr some reason, your cup comment made me think of Family Stone and Cybil’s cup and how SJP took it. Remember that scene?

Sweet post! Have you guys tried shaving cream with an old cafeteria tray yet? That’s the best!

Today’s post makes me wish I could be home, too…painting and playing with Brynn, being the first in line to pickup Vince from school (a prestigous spot in the carline!), sipping tea, etc. You and your family are so blessed to be in a position where you can both live your life and raise your family. Miles & that teeny-tiny bun-in-your-oven are so very lucky to have you! Wishing you and Miles many more masterpieces while he is still your only child… By the way, I’m totally the kind of mom that worries about getting messy. (Note to self: Be more like Betsy!)

Hereโ€™s a little peek into our Easter weekend with a few quick photos and commentary by me. Hope you had a great one, as youโ€™ll see, we sure did! I had still been sick the whole day before Easter with my yearly birthday cold, so we didnโ€™t get around to dying eggs until right before…

My first senior of the season is Lauren and HOLY SMOKES, she is GORGEOUS! I absolutely dig her style and she has this spark about her that is contagious. Iโ€™m not surprised how energetic Lauren is. She plays softball and cheered for years. I think this photo shows what I mean about her energy. She… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
