what miles has been up to lately

Here’s a little round up of some photos I’ve had of Miles that have been hanging out on my hard drive waiting to be shared. Miles has been into trains lately. Not Thomas, but REAL trains. Miles and John watch this video together called, “I want to be a train engineer”, so Miles knows all…

this is just what I needed…feeling overworked and lonely today… I love you and John so much…you both are very special parents. hugs.

I love the photo of John and Miles on the train! So sweet!

You should check out Ikea for their little wooden train sets. My son is CRAZY about his. It’s pretty simple and really plain so I don’t know if Miles is too big for that, but it’s definitely worth a look 🙂 I love the ones of him cruising the neighborhood! Too cute!!

I love seeing Miles at play. Gives me lots to look forward to with my little boy. And you’re right, it is so difficult to be a photographer and parent at the same time. My biggest regret so far: not hiring someone to do newborn photos. I thought it would be such a fun time and so great to experiement. It was just so overwhelming. What is that saying? The cobblers children never have any shoes.

a life changing purchase

When I was a kid and I opened up an amazing gift, I would think to myself, “Oh my God, this is going to CHANGE my life!” (Yes, I’ve always been dramatic.) Well, as I have grown, those life changing gifts have changed to life changing purchases, which are even more satisfying. I’ve been meaning…

Hahah, this is so funny. I just got home from visiting my Mom in Texas and thye have had a roomba for almost 2 years now and my Mom is in love with it. She comes home sometimes and says “good job roomba” it cracks me up!

  • GailMay 26, 2010 - 12:08 pm

Girl, you are hilarious. And now I feel like, as much as I love MY vaccum, that I need a Roomba!

PS – When you makin’ yours a DJ version?

  • DevanMay 26, 2010 - 12:39 pm

We have one too and I LOVE it!

  • LisaMay 26, 2010 - 8:25 pm

I completely understand loving a vacuum (mine was even named by DD), but one that cleans by itself AND was found for a great deal, that IS amazing!

Loved this post. We have lots of wood floors and you’re so right, those dust bunnies like to appear everywhere, especially in corners and under furniture. Like you, I used to clean my floors almost everyday. Then I had a baby. When you work from home AND have a baby, cleaning definitely goes by the wayside! Thanks for this recommendation. You have totally sold me. I do long for clean floors again!

look at that proud boy

Tomorrow is Miles’ last day of preschool so this week his backpack was bursting with all sorts of goodies from this past year. When John came home for lunch, Miles was so excited to show him each and every one of his art projects. Miles’ little face here is so proud and happy. It makes…

a smoke signal from the belly

I’m here! I’m still here! I have barely been blogging because I have been busy wrapping everything up around here for my photography clients. I just placed my last canvas order for the season and tomorrow I have just one last order of cards before all I have left before my maternity leave is to…

gonna need another boppy

I still haven’t pulled Miles’ old baby stuff down from the attic yet to see what I can use for King Baby 2.0. (I still have a few more days of work before I can jump into baby stuff.) However, I already know one thing I’m not going to be able to hand down to… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

I have a super soft lime green boppy that is all yours!

  • Renee LyonsMay 13, 2010 - 10:01 am

My dog would LOVE one of those! He loves having his head elevated when he’s at rest!

  • KelliMay 13, 2010 - 11:40 am

Love the boppy for dogs! And “who doesn’t want their dog to feel hugged all day long”? Love it. Now I must leave your blog for fear one of my dogs will walk in and see your dog being hugged by the boppy!

  • SteveMay 13, 2010 - 11:45 am

I thought that thing was called “My Breast Friend.” What gives? 😉

  • Heidi GarciaMay 13, 2010 - 2:29 pm

Lil Mekmek is always trying to get into Taliah… that would be nice of me to hand it down to her when I’m done with it 🙂

  • CassieMay 13, 2010 - 6:19 pm

Hahahahaha, I’m dying at Steve’s comment. That’s one of my favorite stories. Also, I have a pattern for Boppy covers if you want to use it to curb your nesting cravings…or, if you run out of time I would LOVE to make you one 🙂

  • AngelaMay 17, 2010 - 10:55 pm

Oh my goodness how funny! For sure – King baby 2.0 would appreciate a stink and hair free Boppy (as will you)! I’ve been crusing around Etsy for a family member who is pregnant. Such cute stuff. Cute Boppy covers. However, I do love that fabric you chose for your baby blankies. Can’t wait to see pics of new baby and hope he or she has those pretty eyes like big bro! http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=boppy+covers&search_type=handmade&ref=auto

uh-oh…I can totally see our little dog claiming our pillow after the baby is done with it! It totally looks like the perfect dog bed!
