the hardest, yet sweetest days

We’ve had some sleepless nights and days this past weekend, which has been pretty rough on us. However, moments like these, make it all worth it. I need to keep my words to a minimum, as I need to go to bed, but these photos speak for themselves anyway. Miles is the sweetest big brother…

Hey Betsy! Congrats! I am so stoked about your work and the new baby. I had no clue you were doing all this. Greg is a man of few words when it comes to his clients (and friends). I was clued in by Heather Martin last week when Kylie and I went over to help tame and feed the Martin clan. I was telling her about Evan and Kylie’s photo session when she showed me a sample of your work. It is so great! I hope you can photograph our kids and us soon. Hugs!!!

Oh my gosh, the close up of Jocelyn with the flower & the b&w one? So, so sweet. You can just see the connection there. Love it.

Wow, Betsy! Is it creepy to admit that these photos of Miss Joss make my uterus ache? LOL! She is truly beautiful – and of course, that Miles is wonderful. Love the pictures, as always.

two weeks of two kids

We are past the two week mark of life with Jocelyn and we are finally finding our stride as parents again. Man, those first two weeks I was like bambi walking on ice as a new mom. You would think I would have remembered all the newborn stuff, but I think that as Miles grew,…

Betsy, your kiddos are beautiful. I love coming here and reading how much love you have your kids and all your positive attitude. I pray that God just keeps showering you with blessings. So happy for you and John on Jossy B (love that name by the way).

  • KelliAugust 12, 2010 - 11:09 am

It’s great how in a few years you won’t remember all the sleepless nights. That’s a great shot of John jumping the pool.

  • CarrieAugust 12, 2010 - 7:29 pm

I totally understand on the side of Miles seeming so grown up, since Camden was born CJ looks and just seems like he has matured so much… Pretty much overnight.

She is a peach! i love the first picture with the smooshy baby face 😀 I just went through all my daughters newborn & 3-6 month clothing . . .in tears. She’s 6 1/2 months, and boy has it flown by! My oldest startes Kindergarten in the fall. .. I wish I could put time on hold, or at least maybe in slow-mo : D Enjoy every moment. It flies by waaaay quicker with #2 just by simply being busy with #1 . . and the third way way waaay quicker : (

    This is adorable!

jocelyn’s birth week

John and I took turns taking photos the week we were at the hospital when Jocelyn was born. As I share some of them with you, I thought I would share a bit of the story of that week as well. Forgive my writing as I’m not getting much sleep these days! Or just skip… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Ohhh Betsy I just love her. I could have held her all day! She IS just like a smooshy little puppy! We are just so happy for you guys. And I don’t think you’ll have to buy very many clothes for the next few months, judging by Gail’s tweets this morning 🙂

P.S. I’m laughing at one picture and I think you know why. 🙂

  • chandlerAugust 8, 2010 - 10:48 am

  • GailAugust 8, 2010 - 11:55 am

Oh hon….you are so blessed. I am so so SOOO over the moon happy for you. And it’s fun to get in on this newborn ride this time around since I don’t think I “knew” you until Miles was a few months old. Gosh…isn’t that crazy?

  • LOAugust 8, 2010 - 1:31 pm

  • AubreyAugust 8, 2010 - 2:43 pm

Congrats! I love your work and your sweet baby girl is precious!

  • KelliAugust 8, 2010 - 4:42 pm

Gorgeous photos! From where I’m sitting I think everything from being to pregnant to delivery of your baby girl was beautiful.

  • LauraAugust 8, 2010 - 5:52 pm

Betsy, she is so beautiful. Some clothing advice: don’t buy too much right away because she will grow fast and the 0-3m stuff doesn’t get used much. Frilly dresses are really cute, but begin to be a pain in the butt after a while. Buy a few that you really love, but don’t overload. Ava, my daughter (14 mnths), loved onesies and leg warmers for around the house. Hope that helps!

  • JennaAugust 8, 2010 - 9:15 pm

My bit of clothing advice is for you – if you haven’t already, go to Target and buy yourself a few nursing camis/tanks. You will LIVE in them! I wore them for the first month of two under other shirts and they were wonderfully practical for nursing. Now that my son is almost six months I just wear them to bed. I think they are one of the best inventions!

  • kaseyAugust 8, 2010 - 10:22 pm

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! She is an absolute doll.

  • JovonyAugust 9, 2010 - 12:25 pm

Betsy – While I don’t know you personally, you took my daughter’s senior pictures, and she has gotten me hooked on your blog. I think it’s because I am about to send my baby girl off on a new journey in college and out into the world, as I see you bring your new baby girl into the world. Nicole also had very pink skin, lots of dark hair, and lot so hair all over. Enjoy every moment, I get to relive it through your pictures, and it goes way too fast. I wish I had thought to take more pictures of the little moments that are so precious. Best of luck to you and your beautiful special family.
