cotton candy baby

She’s my little gummy bear baby. I’ve made up a little song I sing to her calling her my gummy bear because she’s so soft, sweet and squishy. In these photos I see a cotton candy baby. Pink, soft, airy and light. Oh and happy. Oh so very happy.

these are my new favorites 🙂

she’s a monkey on the move

Jocelyn is a day away from being eight months old and she’s showing me an insatiable desire to explore every nook and cranny of this house. I love it. Go Jossy go! May your thirst for knowledge go far beyond what my kitchen cabinets can show you. When I’m loading dishes I usually have to…

love it – the look of sincere determination – I had all early walkers. Nothing cuter than a tiny person walking around. Watch out or up I should say you’ll find her on the counters before long!

Yay, embrace the crazy motherhood journey! It may seem simple, but it’s such a good attitude and might be just the inspiration and encouragement another person out there needs. Looking at a cute kiddo is the gravy. 😉 Hope everyone is on the mend soon.

I hope when I’m a mom I am half as good at it as you are 🙂

I mentioned to Aunt Joan how mobile Jossy is and she laughed and said to remind you that if the 1st child had been like the 2nd one–there would not have been a 2nd one..he he he she is gonna keep you busy!

Amanda is absolutely correct. You have been an inspiration to me. I had my little girl in November and have had conflicting feelings about putting my photography business on the back burner to be a FULL time mom to her and my 4 year old little boy. But reading your words always reminds me that I am doing the absolute best thing for me and my family right now. Thank you for that!

When the real history of mankind is fully disclosed will it feature the echoes of gunfire – or the shaping sounds of lullabies? Will what happened in cradles and kitchens prove to be more controlling than what happened in Congresses?”

My goodness! I have to admit these photos are stressing me out…I am scared about this stage again with all the little toys around from Zane. Yikes…need advice! 🙂

miles & his balance bike

Remember the balance bike that Miles got for Christmas? (It doesn’t have pedals. It helps kids learn balance first, then pedaling.) Well, he has been out riding it in full force. Check him out! We walk the dogs a lot, so we have plenty of opportunities to get out as a family and let Miles…

such a cutie patootie! those push bikes are hugely popular over here in switzerland and it’s wonderful to see them making their way to the US, too – they’ve been around for a while, i know, just not as popular. they are such fantastic way for children of any age to begin learning how to ride a bike. bravo miles!! 🙂

I LOVE this post! It’s so cute to see Miles in action. And to see John being a proud papa! I feel like I can’t remember a lot of things from being 6 and under, but I do VIVIDLY remember my dad teaching me how to ride my brother’s old hand-me down BMX bike (it was black with studded tires – HA!). I was SO proud when he let go of the back and I was cruising on my own!! 🙂

So AWESOME!!! My son would be crazy jealous of that helmet, and that song is my favorite from that album (and Grady would say Peace Like a River is his, hehe). Grady had a similar bike called a skuut that he got for his 2nd birthday and I credit it completely with his transition straight to a 2 wheel bike. Oh and the dogs around here would also be jealous of all those walks. Just love everything about this post! =)

My heart is breaking for Japan, but I haven’t been able to sit down and eloquently put put my feelings into words. There are many wonderful bloggers though who have and who are passing on a great organization that is helping. So I’m going to shush and let them and their words inspire you today….
