she gets dressed…three rooms later

Jocelyn is SO independent that she insists on dressing herself. To the point where Iโ€™ll try to help her and sheโ€™ll run away from me to another room to try to once again, dress herself. On a typical day, itโ€™s fine, but if we need to leave to go somewhere, it can get pretty crazy….

Hilarious! She is such a fun little person. If you lived in Florida, she could opt out of the pants altogether (I may have done that once or twice with little girls I used to know…) and save you some time. ๐Ÿ™‚

This post is pretty adorable. Love that kiddo’s spunk!

  • Heidi GarciaFebruary 29, 2012 - 1:12 am

LOVE it, I so can relate ๐Ÿ™‚ …on a side note: I like the facebook like icon…want that!

  • KelliFebruary 29, 2012 - 11:30 am

She wants to be independent! And dressed! Very good qualities for young ladies.

  • CaitFebruary 29, 2012 - 8:22 pm

    She is so DARN cute!!

  • BethMarch 4, 2012 - 9:06 pm

Ha ha! My kids run and hide from me too- but only when I am trying to get them dressed for bed. Maybe I should show this post to my 3 yr old so he will start dressing himself too ๐Ÿ™‚

sneak peek for the precious jain family

This family is so near and dear to my heart. They are so beautiful on the inside and out and just as precious as can be. Their photos have been sitting on my computer all week and Iโ€™ve been ITCHING to get their photos ready for a post, but alas, my office time kept getting…

  • KelliFebruary 27, 2012 - 5:02 pm

    Beautiful!

the weirdest thing you’ll see all week

I love Instagram, and if you follow me on Twitter or my personal Facebook page, youโ€™ll see that I post quite often. Itโ€™s usually a photo of one of my favorite things in my world, my kids, or my pugs. I love following what my friends are doing and the Instagram blog that I post…

I can’t see anything but the cow now! LOL

  • Jessica ParkisonFebruary 23, 2012 - 9:08 am

I see it. If you look to the center of the picture it looks just like Stamp. Focus on the bottom corner and you see the cow. Too weird, but HILARIOUS!

  • SherryFebruary 23, 2012 - 9:32 am

oh my golly.. after you see the cow it is really hard to see STAMP when you look again…

  • MayaFebruary 23, 2012 - 8:14 pm

I am laughing over here. You crack me up Betsy!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • MicheleFebruary 24, 2012 - 12:27 am

All I see is the cow. I can’t even pick out Whisper and Stamp in the photos!

  • AllisonFebruary 24, 2012 - 7:34 pm

Oh my goodness that is TOO funny! I stared at your instagram photo for a super long time because I could not understand what I was looking at! Thanks for the clarification! ๐Ÿ™‚ haha

  • jayneFebruary 26, 2012 - 6:14 am

I saw the calf as soon as I looked at the pic but then read and looked again and could only see the pugs…until I look in the bottom right hand corner and ignore pug’s nose and then I see calf all over again! Optical illusion!

  • Rachelle @ PictureSmithsFebruary 27, 2012 - 3:11 pm

Haha!! I’m dying because I looked and looked and all I could see was the cow! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • melMarch 5, 2012 - 6:10 pm

that’s hilarious…and also a little creepy imagining a cow in your bed.

baby zabel on the way

I photographed my brother-in-law and his wife Melissa (that would be my late husbandโ€™s brother) as they excitedly await the arrival of their baby boy. They were so adorable during their shoot, giggling and laughing, just so ecstatic about the baby they have been waiting so long for. Itโ€™s been a long and weary road…

    beautiful!

  • JessFebruary 22, 2012 - 6:35 pm

Having known Melissa and her family for most of my life (I haven’t seen her in years though) you did a gorgeous job capturing her sweet smile. Even at 34 weeks pregnant she looks just like she did the day she graduated highschool. Good job Bets!

  • jesszwoFebruary 22, 2012 - 9:27 pm

    Gorgeous!!

  • TifFebruary 28, 2012 - 10:27 pm

The photos are gorgeous (esp the last one), but I really had to comment on the fact they were reading “The Pokey Little Puppy”! I had not thought of that book in about 20 years, and now I MUST find a copy. Thank you!

2011: a beautiful, blessed and adventurous year

My year started off busier than usual, so I feel like February has been my month to finally get a chance to really sit back and reflect on 2011. Instead of a slideshow, I thought I would post the highlights of last year for our family. You wonโ€™t believe how much the kids have grown!… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Such a fun and beautiful year. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t believe how much Joss has grown! Those babies are precious.

  • GailFebruary 17, 2012 - 4:04 pm

Ahhhh…loved the recap (aren’t recaps so fun?) And like Jess said, can’t BELIEVE how big Joss got over the past year. That’s nutso! But, same for Miles too — that picture of me before surgery? he looks like a babe!!!

  • KimFebruary 17, 2012 - 4:17 pm

That last picture shows just how much you love life and your darling hubby. Its also the best representation of parenting a camera can offer. Here’s to a swell 2012! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • KelliFebruary 17, 2012 - 4:24 pm

Great year! I’m a card carrying Disney freak! I may have mentioned that before. I turn 40 this year and everyone is asking what I’m doing, party, Vegas, tattoo, etc. but I want to go to Disneyland again!

  • JillFebruary 17, 2012 - 4:29 pm

What a great year! ๐Ÿ™‚ You have such a beautiful family– I’m sure 2012 has lots of fun in store for you!

  • CassieFebruary 17, 2012 - 6:58 pm

Oh man, it makes me so happy that Miles is doing so well. That was so awful last year (that was a year ago already???) What an awesome year Bets! Hope to see you soon!

  • MicheleFebruary 17, 2012 - 11:18 pm

I love your year in review, especially the last picture! Once again, you’re welcome for the piano. ๐Ÿ™‚ I might have to come visit it and see your gorgeous paint job in person the next time I’m back in The Fort! (I still can’t believe that you thought to paint it!)
