lily & baby jackson

Check out this precious shoot of Lily and her son Jackson. We didn’t get to meet Lily until the day of our shoot, but we had something very special in common already. We, along with her sister, were all married by the very dear Mark Klinepeter. This past January when we lost Mark, Lily saw this post I did in honor of him. She lives in Atlanta and has since kept in touch with my blog. She decided to book us for a shoot while she was here in Fort Wayne for a visit. What an honor! My first out of town client! (Though bless you out of towners who have asked me to travel, I’m just not up for it yet.)

Her husband had to head back home early to Atlanta for work, so the shoot was just of Jackson, a bit of her and her sister joined in.

I think Daddy is going to love this shot! (I hope so, at least!)

He was pretty mellow until we got the exersaucer out and then he was ON!

My favorite thing to photograph, toes and babies reading books. I honestly couldn’t help but get choked up, it was the sweetest book and Lily and her son were so precious.

Lily’s sister Jennifer joined in for some snuggling for the shoot. We had such a great time getting to know and shooting these ladies.

Thank you so much Jennifer for opening up your home to us and thank you Lily for inviting us to capture this precious time in your son’s life. Next time you are home we’ll have to have a play date for Miles and Jackson.

I still have more photos to process from this shoot, but wanted to get a sneak peek up as soon as I could. More to come Lily!

These are fantastic! Can I say that without sounding vain? : ) I love how you captured him – his temperment, facial expressions, and personality. And yes, the photo of me kissing Jackson is Daddy’s favorite (so far)! Somehow I think this will not be our only photo shoot with ‘Betsy & John Photography’! : ) Thank you for the beautiful photos.

I love the realness and simplicity to your images. These in particular seem to natural and spontaneous. Great work!

Betsy and John – I really enjoyed meeting both of you. You guys are so talented! These photos are absolutely wonderful. Every time I get on my computer, I can’t help but come to your blog just to see pictures of two of the most precious people in my life–my sister and my nephew. You really captured the essence of who they are (it brings tears to my eyes)…Great job!
