Introducing Chandler and her boundless energy and happy spirit.

Do you ever go to the mall and see teenagers that look like Bratz dolls? I LOVE that the seniors that come to me have been natural girls that don’t hide behind a lot of make up.

I think Chandler looks so much like Rachel McAdams here, don’t you think? I can’t decide if it’s Rachel McAdams from The Notebook or Mean Girls…what do you think?

I’m not going to lie, I was so tempted to ask Chandler if I could borrow her dress for a wedding I had that weekend. It was made out of the softest cotton and looked so comfy. Chandler, you looked adorable in it.

One of the cute things I noticed about Chandler as she was packing up after her shoot is she had Vera Bradley bag with a pattern I remember seeing a lonnnnng time ago when Vera Bradley bags first came out. A pale pink floral pattern. (For my out of town readers, Vera Bradley is from Fort Wayne and the company is still located here.) I asked her about it and she said it was her baby bag that her mom used for her when she was a baby and she carries it as a duffle bag now. Isn’t that the sweetest thing!? I thought so.

I may have mentioned that her shoot felt like we were just hanging out together. Well, one of the things we both have in common is we read the same cooking blog, the The Pioneer Woman. Oh, and of course we are both on Twitter, so we hear about each other’s attempts at various Pioneer Woman (aka PW) recipes. (My personal favorite is the Pasta ala Betsy, aptly named.) Speaking of pioneer woman, Chandler looks a bit “pioneer-ish” here with her boots and rustic setting. Chandler, do you think PW would approve?

In the past, when I have photographed little girls for Matilda Jane Clothing and I want to get a serious look that isn’t a huge smile, I say, “You are a little princess, lost in a secret garden.” Amazingly, even though mom’s think I’m crazy when I say that, little girls always know how to make that look of a princess, lost in a garden. Chandler’s expression is exactly the look I’m going for when I say that. Though, I can’t remember, Chandler, did I use the “secret garden” line on you ?![]()

Chandler, you are BEAUTIFUL and so full of happiness here. This is a favorite of mine!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Chandler has a horse that is a HUGE part of her life. She is gone ALLLLL summer caring for horses and showing them, so when she mentioned bringing her saddle and her outfit, I was in HEAVEN. (Her horse is in another state, so that’s why she wasn’t at her shoot.) By the time her equestrian outfit came on, we were quickly running out of light and my heart was breaking. I could have shot two more hours with that outfit!

Chandler, you are such a fascinating young woman and I’m so excited to hear about all the amazing things you do. Have an awesome senior year!
