Madeline is my last senior of the year (sniff…sniff!) but I did end on very high note photographing her until we ran out of autumn light and of course, warmth, one November afternoon.

When I saw those boots, I did a little (mental) happy dance. Love this look, oh and Madeline? You are OWNING that pose!

She loves Ralph Lauren, hopes to travel the world someday, is addicted to tv and movies (a fellow Arrested Development fan, LOVE IT!) and the last time we spoke, she was teetering in between college choices in either Indiana or California. I can’t wait to hear what you end up choosing Madeline! (Considering California is ranked #4 on the number of followers of my blog, we might be able to drum up a pretty stiff debate on where you should go.)

I love your eyes in this one, where you are just looking over at the camera.

My instructions here: Go walk through those leaves and kick them, but not so much that we’ll get in trouble for making a huge mess.
I can’t help it. I’m always a little afraid I’m going to get yelled at while photographing out in public. (yea, it’s kind of happened before…) Madeline, I love how your hair and scarf is flowing with the wind and your smile is so pretty.

You. Are. So. Beautiful.![]()

I ask my seniors to do some pretty silly things, with tons of people driving by in cars or walking by on the sidewalks. I am so thankful they go along with it, because I think this photo is adorable. Killer lashes Madeline!

If my memory serves me correctly, Madeline got those boots in Italy for a song. (Did I get that right? Italy…or Spain? Refresh my memory…Regardless, it wasn’t Fort Wayne!) Yes, I’m very jealous!!! I think I might stop charging for shoots and just start working for the clothing off the backs of my seniors.
(Though I would never be able to squeeze myself into those killer jeans!)

Ok, so imagine, for this photo below: It’s FREEZING, and a little damp out, and I ask her, with her crisp white Ralph Lauren shirt to lay down on the ground in this garden. Oh it was the last place you would want to lay down! I will say, I was laying down on my belly freezing too! (Though I didn’t have to smile and look gorgeous at the same time.) Bless you Madeline for trusting me! I think she was laughing here at me, because I think I was literally rolling completely over to position myself for the photo. (I’m not graceful AT ALL, on shoots.) After this shot, we promptly ran back to my car to finish our lattes and head home. (I never got a dry cleaning bill, so I’m assuming that shirt is still white…)

Madeline, your beautiful laid back and warm personality shines right through your smile and sparkling eyes. I had a great time photographing you and if you ever feel like sharing a latte again while discussing life guarding, travel dreams or flat irons, you know who to call!
Here’s your slideshow Madeline, with music written by my husband, John. Best of luck with the rest of your senior year!
Didn’t get enough of Madeline? Here’s her sneak peek from a few weeks ago.
