So here I am, in my hospital bed. Jocelyn is dozing in her bassinet and John is off taking Miles home from a spirited visit to his little sister. The first day after my 3 AM c-section I was literally dozing off every 20 minutes or so and then it’s been a mixture of whirlwind and just lovey dovey family time, so I have been driving my family a bit nuts with my lack of blogging.
Since I had a minute tonight, I thought I would take a moment to share a couple of the iphone photos I have of life with our new baby so far. I have our “real” cameras, but won’t be emptying those cards until we get home, so for now, iphone photos will have to suffice.
I LOVE this photo of John and Jocelyn. How totally cute does John look in scrubs? This was just a couple of hours after she was born. It has been so amazing watching John melt over this little girl.

Here’s me with baby Jocelyn on day 2. I can’t wait to share real photos of her. She has many faces, in this one she is showing her smooshy face.

Another sweet moment catching John baby gazing.

Miles has been SOOOO excited about being a big brother. He says she is beautiful and I even captured him on video telling her that he loved her. (AWWWWW!) Here he is taking a picture of his baby sis. (He does a GREAT job with the camera, btw!)

Have I mentioned how AMAZING this time of life is? It is gold. Pure gold.
I need to run, it looks like Jocelyn is waking up and will need to eat. As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, I’m doing great, SOOOOO much better than my first delivery. We are still going to be in the hospital a couple more days. I still have lots of resting and recovering to do (I seriously just nodded off to sleep in the middle of typing this) but I’m keeping my eyes on the prize of being back at home and enjoying life as a family of 4 very soon!
I’m looking forward to getting home and looking at all the photos, sharing them and sharing Jocelyn’s birthstory. For now, I’m just staying in the moment and soaking this amazing time up as much as I can. It all goes by so fast!
