reminder: auction ends in less than a day!

I blogged last night but didn’t want to crowd out the post regarding the fundraiser that Matilda Jane is doing for a photographer who lost her husband to cancer.

You know I’ve been there and I needed time to heal. Time to scream, sleep, cry, and just be with my emotions. Rinse, lather, repeat. It’s not a pretty process, but it’s very necessary to keep moving. I needed A LOT of time to rest, work through my grief process and just do what I needed to do to get through each day and work towards being ok again. (For me, I hid under a rock for a year and a half.)

So I ask you to donate whatever you can, even just a few dollars if need be, to giving this woman some wiggle room to take the pressure off of what must feel like the weight of the world now of providing for her and her two children amidst her own grief. For me, if felt like I was drowning in my own tears and I didn’t even have two children that needed me. So let’s throw her a life preserver.

The auction items are amazing. However, if you can’t win one, or give that much, please consider just clicking the DONATE button to give directly to Val Koop or the “House of Koop” as they are calling it.

Here’s Matilda Jane’s post about the fundraiser.

I always have to have a photo on a blog post, so in a time pinch, here’s the pugs. I didn’t have two kids when I lost my husband, like Val does, but I did have two pugs who took the journey to healing with me. So here they are.

If you think those little faces are cute, you should check out Val’s kids.

Thanks for stopping by everybody!
