My best friend, Amy, was in town this week and I got to see her and her family twice. Yay! This was huge considering she has been living out of state for the last year and a half. To be away from her and her baby hurts my heart so much. Even if she is home and I don’t get to see her, it just feels better knowing she is in town. Hopefully she can move back here someday.

Monday morning I stopped by her parent’s wonderful home after Miles’ swimming lessons. Her parent’s house is always brimming with loving people and today wasn’t any exception. Another one of Amy’s wonderful friends, Barbara (who I met that day and was told she prayed for me back when I was going through my late husband’s cancer-Wow!) was there and here are some images from our beautiful time together.

Barbara is the most beautiful piano player I’ve ever heard. I could have listened to her all day.

Miles asks, “Is everybody listening? Are you sure you are listening? Ok…” He no longer bangs on the piano and is actually now playing one key at a time and knows where middle C is. So we are getting places with the piano, which is fun to see. Once our new piano is painted and in the house, we will get rolling on more lessons from daddy. For now he has his own “versions” of songs to share.

I’ve been DYING to get some pics of her baby boy, Christian, so I snapped these quickly before my kids melted down and I had to go. He’s a precious punkin!

Jocelyn LOVES babies and her new thing is giving kisses, ESPECIALLY to babies. Christian wasn’t on board, though I’m not sure how he could have resisted those sweet puckered lips! It will be interesting to see what they think about this photo in 16 years!
