It’s that time of year again…Johnny Appleseed Festival!!! This weekend is also our 7th wedding anniversary so we always have a great way to celebrate with a weekend at the festival. (We are TOTAL nerds!) Life got away from me last year as the magic of the festival was soon overshadowed by the magic (oh the MAGIC!) of our trip to Disney World and then a few weeks later, Puerto Rico. Oh the poor festival, it’s thunder was totally stolen by our crazy fun travels, but here we are, back to the festival a year later and we can’t wait to cozy up to a cup of chicken & dumplings and watch our kids enjoy all the cute games and music.
You’ll notice A LOT has changed in a year. Little miss Joss was in the background of most of these photos as she was still a baby, but that will be TOTALLY different this year as a big two year old! We always run into our favorite friends and family, as you’ll see in our slideshow, so make sure you say hi if you see us there! We’ll be the nerds clapping along to the folk music or getting teary eyed when the little old ladies sing “I’ll fly away.”
Miles started out the day as a grouch last year, thinking the festival appeared to be lame. Within an hour he was TOTALLY into it and he is SO excited to play all the games, eat all the yummy food and of course, do a little bow and arrow shopping. I’m excited to see what Jocelyn ends up loving about the festival.
Here’s a slideshow of our fun, narrated by Miles, with sounds of the festival made by my husband John.
