all booked for 2010

Well gang, the party is over before it has begun. At least for bookings it is. I had a waiting list of people who had contacted me from last fall and I released my dates to them and filled up my spring schedule. Bless them for being patient! I have a whole new batch of awesome senior girls lined up and a couple of families sprinkled in that will keep me busy.

I have to admit, when my calendar filled up, I wanted to just find the time and keep booking, but I know that with my pregnancy I get run down more than usual and I want to be the best I can be and have the most energy for the clients I do have. So I had to cut it off at a responsible number. Of course, if I do end up having some openings, I will be posting them on the blog.

I will be shooting until April, wrapping everything up in May and will spend June probably complaining about how hot, bloated and miserable I will be before the baby comes in late July. In all seriousness though, I have dreamed of being pregnant in the summer for ages. I can’t wait to get out of tight maternity pants and into flowwy sundresses and flip flops as soon as it gets warm!

I will not be keeping a waiting list for when I return from my maternity leave. I will decide when my return to photographing clients will be when the baby comes. Since I have the studio space that will enable me to be much more flexible with my photography, I imagine my return will be sooner than I think. We’ll just have to see what King Baby 2.0’s plans are and if this is a baby that enjoys sleeping or not.

Also, as a reminder, I do not offer wedding photography.

Ok, that was a pretty boring blog post. I’m hoping to do a “chick chat” post soon with a belly shot (I’ve grown, BIG TIME!) and I have lots of fun “around the house” pics to share as well. I’m still digging myself out from being sick and of course, there’s the daily guess of when the mysterious studio move in date will be! More to come….
