Amanda is a photographer in Wisconsin who came to me wanting profile photographs for her business and while we were at it, we captured her family together as well. She knew exactly how to work toward my light and she knew that laughing photos were the best! What a beautiful person on the inside and out!

Her last name is Couch, so of course we had to roll the couch out.

In the months since she first contacted me, her daughter became ill with juvenile dermatomyositis and has been on steroids that have changed her physically. I know that her shoot wasn’t what she initially thought would look like when she first contacted me, but life has a way of changing on us and there’s always beauty to be found, especially in such a beautiful and loving little girl. Her daughter Maura is just as precious as can be. I melted from the instant I met her and still do when I hear little messages from Amanda that Maura says about me. She’s just darling!
