an evening at the lake

As I post these photos, Jordan, the youngest of this family, has already boarded a plane to go far, far away to college. Kristin, her big sis, is packing up her final bags to head out of state herself. What a bittersweet time of closing many chapters for this family and of stepping into new, bigger shoes I know they will grow beautifully into.

I’ve been editing these photos while reading on facebook and twitter all the little things that have gone into this time of change for these guys. How Kristen has been meeting with close friends one last time, packing up her home and the big send off of Jordan at the airport while momma Fisher expresses her emotions as it all flies by around her. It’s been a strangely intimate (if not voyeuristic?) journey as I work on their photos while hearing about the emotions they have gone through. I write these words with tears swelling up, really feeling immersed in all the beautiful and painful growth they are going through right now.

God speed Fisher/Goetterman family! Hope you love your photos. Here’s a few snaps, plus a slideshow set to music composed by my husband, John.

SO gorgeous — I love how many great shots you got of each parent with each kiddo and all the siblings together — those are the shots they’ll really cherish. Everyone needs at least one great photo with their mama 🙂

    Welcome back!
