I photographed my brother-in-law and his wife Melissa (that would be my late husband’s brother) as they excitedly await the arrival of their baby boy. They were so adorable during their shoot, giggling and laughing, just so ecstatic about the baby they have been waiting so long for. It’s been a long and weary road to where they now stand and my heart is so full for them. Their joy of soaking up this time in their life was truly a precious thing to capture. Let me share a bit of their shoot with you.

This was my first time attempting a shot like this with my light. I like how it’s a silhouette, but you can still see a bit of light glowing on her features. I love how the repetitive curves of her cheekbones and her décolletage all compliment the beauty of her perfect almost 34 week belly.

More to come Steve and Melissa, I just wanted to pop these up before Melissa’s belly changes too much! I love you guys so much and I’m so excited to meet your baby boy and see how your hearts expand and grow into a family of three.
