First day of kindergarten-we all made it!

It’s all very surreal, but we did it! We got Miles on the bus and we all got through his first day at kindergarten.

Look at that handsome little man getting on the bus!

Just for kicks, I got a photo of Joss with Miles’ “First day of Kindergarten” sign (with Miles’ name added afterwards.) She was so sad to see Miles leave! She cried when he got on the bus. (She’s clutching her bag of Hello Kitty figurines.)

We headed over to his school to see him get to his classroom and get settled in. I held it together, but couldn’t help have tears in my eyes through it all. I stayed until I saw he was smiling.

I had cookie dough ready for Miles when he got home since I figured he would need some comfort food. Joss needed some too, apparently. He was pretty tired when he got home, but had all sorts of good things to say about school.

I’m so glad to be over the first day and start getting into a routine. Awesome school year, here we come!
