halloween rocks!

Halloween is getting closer and considering all of us here in Indiana woke up to some crazy cold temps this week, I can totally believe it. But honestly, October is supposed to only be a bit chilly but with gorgeous sun, not gross, rainy and grey like it has been. Boo! (pun intended.)

So my fabulous friend over at Paperlili sent me some shirts that begged to be photographed for her clothing shop and how cute is this one? If you want this shirt, get on it FAST! She’s just about out and she won’t be making another batch.

For my friends that have photographed Miles, they know, it’s no easy task. This little guy is FAST!!!! This one doesn’t show off the T shirt as well, but I still think it’s precious. how he’s running through the branches with his stash of wild pears.

Speaking of Halloween, so here’s the stages of my costume venture for Miles with John:

stage 1: “Let’s teach ourselves how to sew and make Miles an awesome costume!”

stage 2: “Holy crap, this pattern is crazy! What the heck do all these triangles on the pattern mean? Oh man, we have to buy a lot of materials to make this….”

stage 3: “Crap! We were outbid in the last second for the discontinued Pottery Barn Robot costume. Dang it!”

stage 4: “Look at this adorable costume pattern…hmmm, it looks simple enough…”

Stage 5: “Let’s teach ourselves how to sew and make Miles an awesome costume!”

Yep, so we have come full circle and are back to the plan of making his costume. Lord help us. I mean, we are going from making a tote bag that looks like stretched out underwear to hopefully something adorable for Miles to wear. Wish. Us. Luck.

So I’ll keep you posted. I can’t believe I’m going to attempt to sew Miles’ costume during my busiest month when my baby sitting time has been reduced big time and I’m already a bit behind. However, it will be awesome (hopefully) and I’ll leave the store bought stuff for Christmas.

Of course I’m not giving away what he is wearing yet. I just needed to say online that we were making his costume so I don’t back out and go searching on Ebay again.

If all else fails, he can wear his Halloween Rocks T shirt and this mask that left us laughing for 20 minutes in the Walgreen’s Halloween aisle. (If you don’t think John’s eyes in this mask are hilarious, than I guess you just had to be there…)
