Eight hours of drive time + 15 hours of airport and flying time over a couple of days to see family =

After some really yucky driving in the rain yesterday, numerous airport delays, and one 4 minute sprint to make our connection after only splitting a personal pan pizza between the three of us at the airport plus an additional mechanical delay that kept us stuck on the runway for a bit, we FINALLY made it home at 1:30 AM last night/morning. (How’s that for the longest run-on sentence ever!?)

Miles gets the “Best Traveling Baby Ever” award though. I have NO idea how we got lucky to have such a sweet, patient and happy little guy. Man, if there wasn’t something called work or those pesky bills we would be booked at some tropical resort right now.

Despite him being an awesome traveler, I still am THANKFUL beyond words to be home. I need to go get the pugs from Camp Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house, get back to un-packing, re-stocking the fridge and getting back into the swing of things, but had to post that we are back. (My internet and blogging withdrawal has been killer!)
