i always feel like somebody’s watching me

I was snapping some photos of (a totally not into it) Miles the other day when I saw Whisper in the background, just patiently sitting, and waiting for Miles to drop food. She’s like this little statue, just sitting motionless, only blinking, fixated on the floor beneath Miles’ chair.

You’ll notice that Whisper, or “Princess Whisper” as we call her, likes to sit on the rug, instead of the cold tile floor, while waiting for a dropped treat. She is so spoiled. But this is so my fault. When she was a puppy, she was SO tiny and seemingly fragile that I would always make sure she had a soft blankie to sit on. I literally conditioned the dog to only sit on soft surfaces. If you even drop a dish towel on the floor, she’ll go sit on it. It’s seriously bizarre.

Stamp, however, is ALWAYS right under Miles’ chair, waiting for anything to be dropped. She’s a bit more food motivated than Whisper.

Though Whisper will sacrifice her cozy spot on the rug from time to time to join Stamp under the table during meal time.

PS This message is for my family, and anyone else who knew our pugs had pug pattern baldness: Check out that Whisper and Stamp have chest hair again! After being bald in front for YEARS, it has suddenly grown back all soft and fluffy. Yippee! Perhaps all these years of putting stinky fish oil in their crazy expensive hypoallergenic food has done SOME good.

In other non-pug related news, I have Miles’ two poster prints I designed for his room in frames and ready to hang!! YEEAH!!! I’m SOOOO in love with them and can’t wait for John to get them hung so I can photograph his room and share them with you. He’s been working extra time at the studio this weekend though, so they haven’t got up yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for sitting through another pug post. Hey, I think I might need a cute header that says, “pug post” like my “chick chat” one. Hmmmmm…I wonder if my graphic designer can draw a pug… 😉

Oh my gosh we have matching coffee tables. Our Thomas shed and round-table is on ours as well. 🙂 I smiled when I saw that. LOVE the pugs!
