Here I sit, clinging to the memories of my wonderful long weekend at Disney while I should really be jumping back into reality. I want so much to share every single little photo and story about our time at Disney but I’ll spare you (and my schedule) all of that and share some, ok a lot, of the high lights from our trip. It was magical, precious, adorable, stressful and hurried, but so amazing that we are already wondering how and when we can get there and exhaust ourselves all over again.
Yes, we drank the Kool Aid and if you recall, I guessed that we would be a converted Disney crazy family within minutes of our arrival. Um, we weren’t even off the shuttle before we were ooooohing and ahhhhing over seeing Cinderella’s castle from the shuttle bus. Our plan of relaxing by the pool on the first day went flying out the window as we literally dropped our suitcases in the room and ran straight to the Magic Kingdom without barely missing a beat. Yes, we are officially a Disney crazed family.
So here’s a bit of our experiences from our 3 and a half days there. I have a couple more blog posts to share, as Miles’ pirate transformation needs it’s own post, for sure. So stay tuned!
Spinning tea cups! Miles was at an AWESOME age to experience Disney. His wild imagination ran wild and free at Disney.
Hey, it’s my self portrait for October! (Yes, I held my camera at arm’s length while spinning in a cup.)
Jocelyn was a peach the whole trip and loved taking in all the sights.
John and I couldn’t believe we were in Disney World. We kept pinching ourselves.
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin was Miles’ favorite ride. We rode it over and over and over. It was a miracle I captured this photo. Those rides are so dark!
We had front row seats to the Beauty and the Beast show. I had never seen the movie (I know, I know, how is that possible?) so I was thoroughly entertained. The talent there is UNREAL. We missed the Lion King show, bummer, but I’m still on a high from this fantastic show.
Our awesome friends Erin and Ken, who we spent the trip with, were in heaven. It’s Erin’s favorite movie and we all just beamed through the whole thing.
Here’s Miles watching a little pirate demonstration before his Pirate’s League induction.
We got LOTS of snuggling in with Jocelyn while Miles rode rides or did his Pirate League. She’s such a happy little punkin, she played, waved at people or flirted at passer by’s.
Pointing to the Castle, Jocelyn joins in.
Here’s our Disney gang, Erin, Joss, John, Ken and pirate Miles, aka Sven Dreadfoot. Happiest travelers in Disney, for sure. Ken, I dig your shirt. It’s like it’s posing for the camera too.
I had to hop in a photo too with my girl Erin and as you can see, so did Miles.
It’s A Small World is such a classic. Both kids loved it. This hippo had me extra happy.
I always wondered how people did such long days at Disney with kids. Duh, they just sleep when they need to.
……and they go to bed with their clothes on. Here they are, dressed from the night before, giving daddy some good morning hugs.
The kids riding Winnie the Pooh’s “Hunny Pots.” Joss was such a big girl sitting all by herself in the rides!
Miles was amazing! He rode the Thunder Mountain roller coaster two times in a row AND Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion AT NIGHT. He was so brave and loved it. Just a year ago he was shy around loud noises and new things. What a difference a year makes. He embraced everything that Disney had to share. (Except the characters. He wasn’t a fan of those.)
The bone yard at Animal Kingdom was a huge favorite of the kids.
More crazy happiness beaming from John.
I thought it was so cute how Joss was pointing at the windows on Main Street.
Our friends Audrey and Oliver were at Magic Kingdom the same day we were so we had to meet up for a quick hug and a photo. How hilariously precious is this little gang of kiddos? Miles’ expression cracks me up.
So many of the photos of the kids show them looking up at something in wonder. What are they looking at? It’s anybody’s guess as the place has so many wonderful things! This is a sneak peek to Miles’ pirate make over. More on that soon!
Oh my, oh my, oh my! I love these! Love them, love them!
Looks like you guys had a great time. “Drank the Kool-Aid”–HA! 🙂
All I have to say is that I AM SO HAPPY YOU WENT! Miles were never, ever, ever forget that, for sure. It will be creative inspiration for the rest of his life. Can’t wait to hear all about it!
that is so funny! in a great way- we take the “happiest place one earth” so for granted.. Imagine, just walking in and not paying..that was us for the past 3 years… Miles and Noah can share the difference between FL and CA. FUN times Awesome memories 🙂
Looks like you had an amazing trip! LOVE your images! We are going in December. Can’t decide if I should bring my big ole’ camera or a point and shoot…any suggestions? 🙂
So thrilling to hear all about this Dream come true..GOD BLESS ERIN for making it possible..
Looks like an amazing trip, so glad you guys had an awesome time!
I want to go back RIGHT NOW!!! Pass the kool aid!!!!
Bets, you are right. It was awesome. These pictures are incredible!!!
Aww thank you sherry!!!! 🙂
I love how John looks so freakin’ happy to be there! I think we enjoyed it more than our kids! Just so see their expressions during the rides and the parades. I’d love to go to Disneyworld, but it’s so far away from us!
i can tell that you all had a wonderful time – love the photos! 🙂
