miles’ dog days of summer

After my last post of complaining how rotten I felt last night I got lots of comments, emails and phone calls with people checking in on me, wondering if I had gone into labor. I guess I need to inform, or remind some of you that may not already know that I’m pretty much a drama queen. So as lousy as I felt last night, I did feel a lot better today and no, no labor. Thanks for your concern though! I had a doctor’s appointment this morning which was pretty much just Miles charming the nurses, hearing the nice strong heartbeat again and my doc saying that everything looks great. So, I’ll keep you posted. We have two iphones and an ipad between John and I. Trust me, the world will know when King Baby 2.0 is on his or her way or here. 😉

So what else am I doing with my time? Well, I get myself situated in a patio chair under an umbrella and big sunhat and watch the “Stamp and Miles water show.” As I have mentioned, Stamp loves to play in the baby pool, but what she REALLY loves is playing with Miles in the pool. It’s a lot of fun to watch. This whole new pool play thing that Stamp is doing now has been SO much fun this summer. It’s been very helpful for Miles to have a playmate to keep him busy while I put my feet up in the shade during these last weeks of my pregnancy.

I tried my best to capture these two without getting my camera wet and of course, with my big belly in the way, but you get the idea, right?

Stamp LOVES to be splashed. Which is perfect since Miles LOVES to splash people. Me? I love water and swimming, but I’m not such a huge fan of being splashed. So thank you Stamp for fulfilling this role.

Miles looks like he is playing Sea World dolphin trainer here in these two pics. They crack me up for some reason. Oh and the wetsuit? It was a hand me down that I had hoped I would find a use for and I finally pulled it out for swimming lessons on a chilly morning last week. It’s been a favorite of Miles’ ever since for him.

Catching Stamp in mid-water chomp has proven to provide some funny/scary photos of Stamp. Hopefully this one won’t give you nightmares! If this is your first time at my blog I’m sure you are thinking, “OMG, get that ferocious animal away from that boy!”

Thanks for popping in and checking out what we are doing these days. I need to go get these big ‘ol swollen feet in bed. Nighty night!

With all this play in pool he might just grow up to a whale or dolphin trainer at Sea World. That wet suit makes him fit the part even more. HA!! 🙂
