The kids had a blast decorating eggs.
Joss wanted to decorate herself.
She tried her best to use our tongs.
Jocelyn’s eggs had a lot of “texture.”
Miles made the most rad pirate eggs!
Joss found her basket quickly and didn’t waste any time checking it out. (I had a BLAST creating an adorable little girly basket!)
Miles was FLOORED by his Easter Angry Birds game in his basket. He told me tonight, “I’m so impressed that the Easter Bunny knew I would love that Angry Birds game.” (YESSSSS! LOVE THAT!)
His reaction to his basket was precious!
Crazy curious pugs always want to be in on the action.
Joss was so excited to to find eggs. She stood at the window saying, “EGGS!” until we finally let her out. She squealed “EGGS!!” as she ran out the door, basket in hand.
Miles was on a mission. He was so polite though, making sure to save the “easy” eggs for baby sister. (Awwwww!)
My aunt Joanie, who lost her husband a week ago today, came and joined us for Easter morning. It’s been a hard couple of weeks visiting her husband while he was ill and then helping her with funeral arrangements. It brought back a lot of the emotions I had when I lost my own husband, so my heart has been really hurting for her. It was so special that she came to share our day with her. My heart breaks for the loneliness she is enduring right now. The kids seemed to give her some joy. Jocelyn especially gave her lots of loving.
My mom is NUTS about our kids. They always have a blast together. My mom always goes crazy making the day magical for the kids.
Thanks for sharing our beautiful Easter morning with us! Hope you had a blessed day as well.
Was thinking how serious Miles takes his egg decorating, and how hilarious Joss was with decorating her half eaten (?) egg, but to read about your Aunt Joanie, my heart broke for her 🙁 Look after her.
Loved this post, Betsy! So much love!
The kids looked like they had a blast. 🙂 Miles looks so much taller to me. Glad you had a nice Easter.
