random blast from the past

So I’m recovering from my belly bug but John is down with it BIG TIME right now. Poor guy never gets sick, but he’s been in bed since this afternoon. : (

So it’s a quiet house and I was just searching in my documents folder for something as I’m trying to get some work done before things start piling up on me and I found this little gem.

Cardheaderforblog

It’s the header from the Christmas letter we sent last year. (In addition to our Christmas card, of course.) I remember I made it in like 2 seconds, because I couldn’t stand sending out our letter on plain paper. So if you are on my address list, you are probably like, “Boring!” But to me, I’m all misty eyed looking back at some cuteness from 2007. Don’t ask me why I didn’t include some newborn shots in the little collage. Oh yea, that’s because I was in such a new mom fog that most of our new born pics are crappy! ; ) JK, I think I just love the shots of Miles when he’s older because he is so much more expressive when he’s older.

Ok, I gotta get back to work and then bed.

BTW, do you ever have a couple weeks where your calendar is pretty free and then WHAM you get inundated with people that want to see you, places to go and things to do? That’s me right now.

Hi Betsy, I’m a brand new reader of the blog (since yesterday!) and I just wanted to leave you a comment saying how much I adore the photos of your son! You really are a wonderful photographer!! Maybe I enjoy your blog so much because I recognize A LOT of what your little son is doing… we have a ten-month old son here and there are so many things that Miles do in the videos that remind me of my Bailey-boy! And I seriously can’t imagine that in three months he’ll be able to answer a question!! When you asked Miles “Can you find the page with the cow?”, it completely blew my mind… 🙂

By the way – the leg warmers are adorable!! May I ask where you found them? I hope you have a good Easter and that your husband gets better soon! Best wishes from Ida in Canada (I have a blog but it’s all written in Swedish… so I’m not sure it would be that interesting… however, here’s the address to my Flickr-page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/idacelia/)
