A friend of mine, years ago, gave me a wealth of wonderful hand me downs for Miles. (Thanks Annie! They have gone on to live at Cassie’s house now.) I remember putting this little blue hooded jacket on Miles and just thinking it was the cutest thing ever. Once he grew out of it, I tucked it away, knowing I would want to pop it on my next child. For comparison’s sake, I tried for the same pose, almost four years later with jocelyn.

Here’s what we got. There’s Miles, 12 weeks old in April, 2007 and Jocelyn on the right, 20 weeks old in 2010. (I’m kicking myself for not tying a tiny little pink bow on one of those ears. Dang!)

How funny is that? Jocelyn definitely has differently shaped eyes, but those lips are just about exactly the same. I need to go back through the photo archives and see what other poses I can try to re-create.

In other news, John’s brother Mark came to visit us for the weekend from Austin, TX and we are having a blast with him. Miles is in HEAVEN as he adores every bachelor (and bachelorette for that matter) that will give him their un-divided attention. Of course Mark is a pretty fun guy, so we weren’t surprised that they are getting a long like PB&J.

I know my last post was pretty heavy, but I’m doing fine with the help of some great friends and Mark brightening our day.
