Jocelyn is a day away from being eight months old and she’s showing me an insatiable desire to explore every nook and cranny of this house. I love it. Go Jossy go! May your thirst for knowledge go far beyond what my kitchen cabinets can show you.
When I’m loading dishes I usually have to shoo away the pugs. Now I have another little monkey to contend with while loading.
Something so cute about baby ears from behind like that. I just want to nibble them.
At this age Miles was more verbal and less mobile. I imagine life around our house was much less interesting than it is for a baby now.
Gotta run, it’s been such a busy day that I literally didn’t eat my first meal until 2:45 PM today. (I usually eat 6 times before 3, so I was hanging by a thread this afternoon.) We have another round of ear infections here which means I spent my morning running around to the pediatrician, grocery store and pharmacy. Remember that thing I used to have called a photography business? Sounds vaguely familiar to me, but these days, it’s all about the kiddos and if John’s lucky, I say hi to him too. Yep, we’ve got some busy days, but for right now, my kitchen with plastic cups and bowls spilled out onto the floor is where I’m meant to be.
Oh, I could just squeeze her.
love it – the look of sincere determination – I had all early walkers. Nothing cuter than a tiny person walking around. Watch out or up I should say you’ll find her on the counters before long!
Too cute!! She is just too sweet!
Yay, embrace the crazy motherhood journey! It may seem simple, but it’s such a good attitude and might be just the inspiration and encouragement another person out there needs. Looking at a cute kiddo is the gravy. 😉 Hope everyone is on the mend soon.
I hope when I’m a mom I am half as good at it as you are 🙂
I mentioned to Aunt Joan how mobile Jossy is and she laughed and said to remind you that if the 1st child had been like the 2nd one–there would not have been a 2nd one..he he he she is gonna keep you busy!
Amanda is absolutely correct. You have been an inspiration to me. I had my little girl in November and have had conflicting feelings about putting my photography business on the back burner to be a FULL time mom to her and my 4 year old little boy. But reading your words always reminds me that I am doing the absolute best thing for me and my family right now. Thank you for that!
“Women rock a sobbing child without wondering if today’s world is passing them by, because they know they hold tomorrow tightly in their arms. When the real history of mankind is fully disclosed will it feature the echoes of gunfire – or the shaping sounds of lullabies? Will what happened in cradles and kitchens prove to be more controlling than what happened in Congresses?”
My goodness! I have to admit these photos are stressing me out…I am scared about this stage again with all the little toys around from Zane. Yikes…need advice! 🙂
