My mom has been spoiling us lately by showering Miles with some awesomely fun summer toys that will help keep him occupied in this last month (yes, we are down to ONE MONTH away-AHHHHH!) before the baby arrives.
Saturday that meant busting out the new baby pool and today, before we headed out to the Tin Caps game, the boys broke in the new slip n slide.
John felt very sorry for me that I couldn’t go for a slide, because he was having a BLAST.
Miles is still getting the hang of actually sliding on it. He was content enough to just crawl along it. (I think this had to do with a surprise slip on his booty as he ran on it before fully understanding the concept.)
It was a busy day of slip n sliding and baseball gaming it up, so no nesting got done today and no pictures hung in Miles room. I’m dying to get the last of the baby stuff down from the attic too, but it will all happen in due time. We had plenty of great family time together this weekend, even despite John’s extra hours at the studio. (He is BUSTING out the work lately, on top of all of the demands here at home from me and Miles.) Even though I’m nutty about nesting right now, family time is really what I wanted to make sure we got in during this time before the baby comes. It’s our final weeks of Miles being our only kiddo (and the last weeks of calling ourselves the Three Kings) and we are soaking it all up.
As a kid, we ruined the lawn for a few years with the slip n slide. It was the best. Now my kids can’t do it, because we have a sidewalk that splits the yard, so they don’t have enough room.
Kelli: Oh no! John will freak when he hears it ruined a lawn. 😉
That is such a great picture of John!
Was that Slip ‘n Slide a gift for John or Miles? The pictures look like they both were having a blast. Brought back tons of childhood memories of huge hill in our front yard with many hours of sliding with neighborhood kids. Usually followed up with the entire day in the neighbor’s pool. I bet they really got sick of us bobbing around in it ALL summer 😉
So fun! We just bought one last week too & it pained me not to slide down it. I tried to think of a belly-friendly way, but no dice.
