This proves, once and for all, that I have lost my ability to multitask. (It went when I had Miles and then REALLY went when I started the photography business. I think it’s my brain’s way of saying, “I’m Maxed out. One thought at a time please!”) You should see me cook and watch TV. The results can be disgusting.

Back to the story, and I really can’t believe I’m blogging about this because it’s really embarrassing. But oh well, I’ll just be a cautionary tale for one track minded people. I was just blow drying my hair out straight (so I can have more time tomorrow do stuff before I go out for NYE) and since it takes forever to dry my hair, I popped open my lap top to watch a video while I blew my hair out.

You know those stickers on hairdryers that show a bathtub + a hairdryer with a big red circle and line through it? Yea, well they need to have the same thing for lap tops for idiots like me. I was so engrossed in the video that I suddenly remembered when I was supposed to be doing and I had held the hairdryer at the same spot on my hair for too long and I had BURNED an orange line into my hair. The next thing I knew a HUGE chunk of hair was falling out in a perfect line along the burn. I literally had a two inch chunk of hair left sticking out from my head. (Boy did it stink!)

Thank GOD it was a lower layer of my hair because had it been a top layer, I would seriously have to cut my hair back to my Ralph Machio hair cut of my childhood. (Many of you know this, but I seriously looked exactly like Ralph Machio as a kid. I would probably STILL look just like him, though I’m not as tan anymore.) I don’t look good in short hair either. (No matter how much mom says it brings out my eyes, I just don’t have a cute little face or nose to pull it off.) It would have been a BAD start to 2008!

Yep, I get the idiot award. I had to laugh about it because I think that is THE dumbest thing I have done this year.
