the adventures of my photos of erin

During the Food and Wine Festival this past fall at Epcot, my friend Erin represented HGTV presenting holiday design advice at the event. We got to go along for the ride and one of the super fun things about her speaking at Epcot was seeing how the photography I did for her was incorporated into her presentation. HGTV had this awesome “sizzle reel” to warm up the crowd full of photos I took of her. Oh my goodness, I about passed out when I saw all the photos flipping by, set to super fun music and a voice over talking about Erin’s achievements. So fun to see them all in one place! I don’t have the super cute “sizzle reel” to show (bummer!) but they used just about every photo I’ve done of her, so here’s a bunch, to give you an idea.

She truly did look like a movie star every day she presented. Those shoots weren’t just for show, she truly dresses creatively every day. I was always warning the kids to “NOT TOUCH SHINY PRETTY ERIN!” as she stopped by our breakfast table each day before she left to do her talk. Look how dangerously close she got to little Joss eating oatmeal. My kids love Erin so much. Look at Miles getting ready to show Erin his new transformer. I’m happy to report that Erin dodged any flying food my kids may have flung and arrived impeccably dressed. Whew!

Erin did a FABULOUS job presenting at Disney and people even asked for her autograph afterward. I about died when I saw her autograph cards with the photos I took. Squeal! I had to snap a photo of one right away.

If you can’t tell, this is really truly my favorite type of photography to do. I love photographing women and finding their best and most beautiful side with their personality mixed in. (As you recall, I love shooting my cover girl Gail and of course I LOVE all my senior girls I photograph.) Erin and I (with a bit of Britney Spears on the ipod) always had a blast with these shoots. Thanks for taking a look at the work I did with Erin. Those shoots really inspired my work later in the fall with seniors. This winter I need to find another fun side project to do to keep my creativity flowing.

As always, thanks for stopping by and checking out a project I’m super proud of.

If you want to see some of the fun we got to have when she wasn’t speaking, check out this post.
