I made a little slideshow of bits and pieces of our Christmas weekend with our little guy, starting out with Christmas Eve cinnamon roll making (awesome new tradition) and ending with him opening a few straggling presents today.
I’m hoping to post some video soon, but I know my family is chomping at the bit to see photos. So here you go, a quick little slideshow wrapping it all up. Oh, and Elf is one of my favorite holiday movies, so even though Pennies from Heaven isn’t a Christmas song, it always feels “Christmassy” to us.
Here’s a bit of a top 5 list of Miles’ favorite (most played with) gifts, so far.
My mom found this play violin that Miles is in LOVE with.
Hungry, Hungry Hippos is a hit with ALL of us. When it gets really close, Miles and I scream really loud. It’s so much fun.
The Disney semi-trailer thingy was a huge hit too.
We were all at Borders a while ago and found these squishy gag gifts that Miles (and us, as well) laughed hysterically at. The rubber chicken was the first gift Miles opened in his stocking and it started the morning with laughs. I wish you could see the yolk in the “egg.” It’s so weird! That’s John wearing his new tool belt in the background with a new pancake spatula in one of the compartments. (Yes, we are strange.)
This was a close second, the super gross squishy net ball thing.
To wrap things up, I had to post this silly photo of Whisper. I don’t know what it is, but her little ernest head just sitting there holding her toy, just melts my heart. All three of the pugs had gifts to open and they always add so much to our Christmas morning.
Thanks for taking a peek into our holiday!
I’d love to know where she found the violin! Our kids got a wood drum, wood banjo and trumpet this year to add to our music collection but they would FLIP over that violin! 🙂
Super cute! I tried to remember to take photos but OMG three kids 4 and under opening gifts is CRAZY! FUN! For sure! But way to crazy and FAST to get the camera! 😉
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas… enjoy the rest of the holiday! jod
WOW!! it was fun…Bless Miles, he would start running down, but kept right at it. In the end he was one tired little guy!. Ready for grandma to GO home….ha ha ha ha Thanks for the slide show. love it…hugs
Love the photos! We saw the chicken too, but were too grossed out to actually buy it.
awesome slideshow!! elf is one of my favorite’s too, and we listen to that soundtrack ALL year long!! Merry Christmas 🙂
Okay I need that recipe. You let them sit overnight? I was having such issues finding something I could bake in the morning. Love all of Miles’ gifts! Those squishy things are hilarious!
Those gag gift things look neat. lol
I love the first pic of your Christmas tree. Do you have any pointers on camera settings for getting the lighting right? I can never capture the glow of the tree like you have.
