Hi Betsy. We met a long time ago at the Zable’s house. I wanted to let you know I really enjoy reading your blog – and love the fall photos in this post. I live in Texas and am very homesick – the leaves are lovely!

You’ve inspired me to start a little photog business of my own – just wanted to say hi, and thanks for the great picture today!

  • CassieOctober 20, 2008 - 11:14 pm

Oh…this makes me miss Fort Wayne!

Gee- I don’t know what it’s like not to see foliage having lived in NH almost all my life with the exeption of 5 years in VA- a.k.a the same thing as living in NH- ! Miles looks like he’s five years old or something upside-down like that!

  • MayaOctober 22, 2008 - 3:58 pm

Miles is looking old for sure in that photo! Loving the stroller through all the leaves!

it’s getting chilly

So chilly, you need a hat with three pom poms on it. (Thereโ€™s a third pom pom on his hat, you just canโ€™t see it.) Have a great weekend guys. We have a TON to do this weekend and itโ€™s going to FLY by, so I better hit the hay.

weird wednesday

Wednesday evening we were supposed to have a family shoot. I got my babysitter lined up and then the weather called for rain. It got cancelled. No biggie, the family rescheduled, but I kept the sitter to go shopping for paint for our bedroom wall project. (In my wildiest dreams I was hoping to sneak…

hey guys, i’ve noticed some website referrals from your blog so thought i’d drop back and show some “blog lovin”. The first pic of John put a smile on my face for sure! my first impression of the paparazzi shot was … “oh what hairy hands he has” (quite normal for men i guess)… you are goofy… well thats by observation from your blog… and Miles of course is adorable, but i don’t need to tell you that. ๐Ÿ™‚ I can somewhat relate to not particularly liking hospitals for the one reason that a loved one spent too many hours in one. My mum had leukaemia back in ’96 and was blessed to recover. anyway… have a great Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • DennisOctober 17, 2008 - 8:15 am

Ouch…stitches are no fun. Miles is always such a happy little guy and so styling to boot!

  • GailOctober 17, 2008 - 8:28 am

You are too gosh darn adorable.

PS – Hope John’s finger is doing better!

PPS – Can I just say that phone you found Miles? When I was a kid, that was one of my FAVORITE toys! That and those thing you push around that have little balls that pop inside them….I loved that thing too… and my Fisher Price toy kitchen….okay, I’ll shush now!

  • JohnOctober 17, 2008 - 10:57 am

WOW! That’s like my favorite blog EVER. You make me laugh!

  • JaredOctober 17, 2008 - 11:20 am

Hope John’s thumb feels better soon!

  • AmyOctober 17, 2008 - 12:58 pm

Nothing worse than a trip to the ER! Where, oh where did you get those cute shoes your little guy is wearing (in the photo)? Way to cute!

    ps~love to read your blog!

You’re all too cute! And I had a similar finger incident in June (7 hours in the ER) and some sensation is still lost even though it healed nicely in about four weeks (4 stitches). Have a great weekend!

  • MayaOctober 22, 2008 - 3:56 pm

Oh geez! Why to ER’s take so long? Isn’t it an emergency after all? Annoying!!!

You two are so goofy! I love it!!! Miles is one lucky kid to have some goofy parents!

It’s all about Claire!

Iโ€™ve been processing Claireโ€™s photos bit by bit every day for the last couple of weeks intertwined between other shoots and projects. This may feel a little stalkerish, but I feel like Iโ€™ve been having a long conversation with her off and on this whole time. I tell you, when you shoot someone, you invite… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Miss Claire, as a friend of Betsy, do share where you got that awesome blue scarf! I want one!

  • Captured by JessOctober 16, 2008 - 11:00 am

I’m the same way lately! Mellow and Chill but I will always be so random and quirky! That’s probably why I love your blog so much, it just makes sense to me. haha These are amazing, how do you find such awesome locations to shoot in.

Ok so I commented yesterday and even said how great this new commenting system worked for me and then I apparently disappeared into cyber-space for making such a bold statement. ๐Ÿ™

ANYWAY and again… Awesome shoot Betsy. Her mother must be tickled pink and watching that slideshow over and over. What a natural beauty.

I wish I could follow you around on a session to see how on earth you rock out so many images. Not fair!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • MayaOctober 22, 2008 - 3:53 pm

I swear she looks like the sister or cousin or something of a family I know!

You crack me up about the clients coming into your home and Miles commenting on them. So true! Zane likes to sit on my lap and look at the photos with me.
