I went to a photography workshop this past spring (anybody remember me twittering about that NON-STOP at the end of April?) and I have never blogged about my experience. Honestly, I tried to sit down and write about it, but I just babbled on and on, so I hit delete. Instead of me babbling, Iβm…
These are beautiful Bets. I love the studio lighting too, and we’ve been talking about incorporating some but we’re not sure. Love these, and I think you would do great if you worked this in to your “studio.”
I had to laugh about the Miles comment, because Gabe is naked CONSTANTLY! I took the funniest photos of him running around playing soccer outside with Brett and his siblings, and he was working that birthday suit. π love ya gal.
I love them. They aren’t the cookie cutter studio images. Dynamic lighting. I, as well, am looking into studio options since people seem to insist in getting married in winter. Need alternatives in case of hail, sleet, and blizzards.
Yeah, mine too. About the nude. He’s potty training and everytime Eric comes home he ask me to put underwear on him. And then he pee’s in them. Naked is better. FYI – if you were going to post cute nude pictures be careful people can hack them and post them on child pornography sites. Scary. I saw a lawyer show that almost put the dad in jail cause he posted pictures of his kid in the tub.
Since you asked… π I’m not a fan of “studio shots” because of what I picture from the past. You know, the Olan Mills family shots of our youth. Harsh, unnatural. I know you know. And as a photographer I’ve been guilty of saying “I don’t have any interest in studio set-ups, lighting, etc.” However that has changed for me and your images are the perfect example of why. There is a way to do studio that is GORGEOUS (your images) and I would LOVE to learn how to do that… especially since I live in Washington State and can’t count on great weather for outdoor shots year round.
These are great Betsy! Love the lighting in these
I like them both – like the other said – they don’t look like traditional studio photos. In order to grow and to appeal to a greater public we have to try new things – so the look works! … about the naked boy- its so hot over here in Louisiana that its a miracle we aren’t all running around butt naked!
Love this lighting. Such a dilemma, to studio or not to studio. Playing with the light is so much fun though!!! Love that first shot so much.
