I’m going to keep my words short and sweet as I’m shooting almost everyday this week. (remember when I said I was booked for 2009? Yea, I wasn’t joking.) I’m a bit behind in my processing too, so clients of mine, hang in there. I have not forgotten about you! Here’s my latest senior, Mary….

  • jess@studio3zOctober 19, 2009 - 8:26 am

I’m so glad to hear Miles is feeling better! The croup is so scary. Two of my boys just came down w/cold today, so we’re in for some fun this week. That book is hilarious! I might have to go out and get it. 😉 Good luck w/your crazy week!!

  • NatalieOctober 19, 2009 - 11:15 am

My boys both had it with every season change- good tips— menthol rub (children’s) and rub on his chest and his back!! prop his head up on several pillows, and open the window in his room or whatever room you are taking over for the night. bundle up it gets cold…and they will grow out of it, eventually. It will come on with the seasonal changes. Good luck- and miss you!! Maybe I will see you thanksgiving weekend!

  • samanthaOctober 19, 2009 - 4:29 pm

that book is great!!! Good luck with Lily’s shoot tonight (it stinks that it was rained out twice– beats my shoot!!!) Looking forward to her sneak peek!

  • MayaOctober 20, 2009 - 10:40 am

Glad Miles is feeling better! Gotta get my hands on this book. I think Zane would love it!

  • Heidi ROctober 22, 2009 - 7:49 pm

We have this book in our class also. I need to dig it out again. They also have a companion book to it, “Animals should definitely not act like people”. Cute, but not as good.

  • SelenaOctober 23, 2009 - 12:00 am

Those books are awesome!!! I started ‘collecting’ children’s books before I had my first babe. After I had Eva, that become one of her favs. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, she is just getting into. ha! 🙂 Happy to hear Miles is feeling better!! 🙂

Evan’s Family

Nate, Holly and Evan came all the way up from Indy just for their shoot with me. Of course, when you plan something two hours away and months in advance, it’s going to rain on your big day. Mother nature can just be a jerk like that. However, we made it work with a little…

Betsy, you rock! These are awesome! I’m so grateful that you captured our family. They are supposed to be Christmas presents, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep them a secret for that long! You’re a great photographer and you’ve got fans for life! 🙂

Loving the apple orchard. I’m hoping to have a shoot at one sometime soon. The one of him running towards them is my fav. So how life with a toddler is!

another rainy day activity

Miles has never been one to put stuff in his mouth, other than food. Therefore, he gets to play with all of the awesome extra buttons we have from Grandma Zabel. There is just nothing like sitting and running your fingers through a bunch of tiny buttons, finding your favorites and finding their matches. It’s…

My grandma had a HUGE tub of buttons, and one of my favorite things to do on a visit was pull allllll of them out 🙂 I love that shot of all the buttons!

  • GailOctober 15, 2009 - 9:05 am

Shaving cream on lunch trays … or how about teaching Miles to “sew” with a cut-out of like, a teddy bear with holes punched in it all around the sides and yarn? That was one of my fave crafty projects my mom did with us in preschool. Then after you “sew” him up, you can stuff him with cotton balls!!!! 🙂 (you can get plastic big needles for yarn in the knitting aisle at Meijer)

(Honest to God, I think I still have that bear somewhere)

  • Amanda KelleyOctober 15, 2009 - 9:31 am

Awe… I love it…I used to do this all the time when I was a kid. I loved going through all of my grandmothers buttons. She had jars of them. 🙂 So cute.

  • JessOctober 17, 2009 - 12:22 am

Oh my gosh, this was my faaaavorite thing to do whehn i was little, i can smell them right now as i look at the pictures 🙂

  • Lynsey TOctober 18, 2009 - 10:58 am

This post put a huge smile on my face because I used to go through my grandmother’s buttons! She owned a dress shop where she designed all of her merchandise, so this lady had some amazing buttons. My mom still has tubs of them at her house!

school picture day

Today was school picture day at Miles’ pre-school. (Dude, who knew they did school pictures at pre-school?) I was so excited to find out what Miles did for the camera, but his teacher clued me in early. She said that when the photographer told him to smile he gave this awesome smile and threw his… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

  • Anne WoehnkerOctober 14, 2009 - 9:42 am

Oh, Betsy!! You worded it PERFECTLY!!! I, too, get SO EXCITED over the simple pleasures of being a mom like getting Noah’s piture take for school, picking out his outfit, picking him up from school and seeing his smiling face each day, taking him to doctor for yearly checkups, getting his haircut, etc., etc. . . the list is never ending! He’s six now and I still get as excited as when he was Miles’ age:) It’s just a constant joy, isn’t it????;):)

  • Anne WoehnkerOctober 14, 2009 - 9:43 am

OH, and yes, . . . it’s a given . . .Miles looks cute as ever in these photos!!!! Such a SWEET face;)

  • AprilOctober 14, 2009 - 12:39 pm

Seriously Betsy, you are going to have to pry the girls off this kid!! Is it possible that he keeps getting more adorable?! I agree with you in that the small special stages are priceless…they just keep getting better and better! p.s. you are going to have to scan and share the school picture photo!!

  • MayaOctober 20, 2009 - 10:38 am
