cinderella day fort wayne commercial photography

I recently photographed some local teens chosen to model for the Cinderella Dress Day, an annual event where used prom dresses are collected and donated to high school girls. This shoot wasn’t for this year’s prom season, but for NEXT year’s prom season. The Fort Wayne Medical Alliance, who heads up this event wanted to…

Gail’s recent blog post made me realize that I haven’t said hello to you in forever. I’m still reading, just rarely commenting. Darn responsibilities getting in the way of my blog following. Gorgeous photos and gorgeous girls! I’m so happy to see that prom dresses are long again. 🙂

who made me a mom

These two made me a mom and I feel so blessed I get to have them in my life. Here are a couple photos I took in my garage last weekend when I popped up an old, wrinkled backdrop for the fun of it. Just love these guys so much! Miles is watching his dad…

Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you had a great one:)

beverage wars: a confession & challenge to myself

Being a child of the 80’s (born in the, ahem, mid 70’s) I prefer my beverages to be fruit flavored. Plain water? I guess that’s what I had out of drinking fountains. Growing up, my BFF’s and I would drink pitchers of red, purple and green Kool-Aid, Capri-Sun’s (sucked down in seconds) and of course,…

I need more water also.. a really cold beer is my preference, when really thirsty..

  • DanaMay 11, 2012 - 4:20 pm

Betsy! I swear I could have written this exact same post. Its tough to suck down water and I hide it from my kiddo too. If you find the secret to getting more water, pls share! 🙂

You mean the water that filters through the Keurig to make my coffee doesn’t count towards my water intake? Oh boy. I’m absolutely terrible about drinking enough water– I should definitely join you!

  • NatMay 11, 2012 - 9:02 pm

Yep—except for the hair, Joss looks like you.

  • Corey MonroeMay 11, 2012 - 9:41 pm

yep. i’m the same way. i never drink water. i just don’t like to. coffee is my drink of choice. i drank ice water like crazy when i was pregnant with my last 2 kids; i actually craved it lol. i need to start drinking it now

I’m a terrible water drinker, too. Spring/Summer it’s easier because it’s warmer. I HAVE to have lots of ice in my cup & it helps to have an auto ice maker in the fridge door. I like my Tervis 24 oz cup (got mine at BB&Beyond) and bring it with me in the car. Also, as a budget friendly plan I started asking for water at restaurants. Don’t feel too bad- I’ve had a bad jag w/ Dr Pepper lately and it’s full of the ugly addicting stuff! 🙂 I like your doodles they made me smile!!!

HAHA @ your mom’s comment! Love it!!

Betsy you need to try the La Croix water. They are so good! I love every flavor we have tried so far. It always makes me feel like I’m being a little rebellious when I drink one. ;o)

Just think about all the money you will save by drinking less coffee!! I love, love your blog. 🙂

Soda is my big weakness – I could drink it all day long and not get sick of it, and it’s tough for me to limit myself to one a day! I used to be a big water drinker – it is true the more you drink it, the more you want it – but somehow I fell of the water wagon lately!

I love coffee. I used to work at Starbucks and I am addicted. I have recently discovered Crystal Light: Drink mix on the go. They are delicious and I find myself drinking more water than I normally would.

I definitely drink more coffee than water – or I used to. It’s hard to drink water most days, but I’ve found drinking from a straw helps me drink more water. I think I’m orally fixated, so I drink without realizing it!

  • MeganMay 23, 2012 - 8:54 am

EeeeK!!! I’m holding my coffee Copco cup filled to the brim of freshly brewed COFFEE!!!!!! Oh no. 🙁 I feel your pain. I do have a little secret that got me on a water kick. I filled a pitcher of water and put sliced fruit in it. Oranges, strawberry, watermelon. Made it yummy and had me refilling my glass all day. Pretty too. Try!

this girl is crazy!

I was snapping pics this weekend and couldn’t help but capture our crazy girl climbing up my husband’s car. She keeps me on my TOES! People keep asking me if I’m keeping busy and I hesitate for a moment, not sure if they mean business wise, or chasing Joss!

She’s got places to go and people to see!

self portrait series: maypril

April came and went without a photo taken of me, so I thought I would try a little “Maypril” self portrait. I have always loved how dreamy light is coming into a garage, but knowing how messy my garage is, I knew I wanted to pop up a quick backdrop as well. On days that… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
