a beautiful day at the orchard

It was a beautiful day for apple picking with my family at a local orchard. The kids loved it and were just precious.

The best apples were way up high.

We sampled (as we were told it’s part of the experience!) and they were DELICIOUS!

Ok, so this probably seems weird, but between me and my kids we we have ice cream kisses, chocolate kisses, cookie kisses and yes, apple kisses. It’s hard to get kisses from my kindergartener so I have to get silly.

We snuck over to a neighboring fence to take a peek at some beautiful horses. Jocelyn would have climbed the fence to see them if she was allowed to.

This month I’m scheduled to shoot A LOT more than usual, so this weekend I took advantage of our quiet calendar and focused on getting organized around the house and soak up my family before things get crazzzzy. It hasn’t been THAT quiet this weekend though as my pug, Stamp, ate half a bag of trail mix on Thursday and has been very sick ever since. (She’s been getting her kidney’s checked every two days for toxicity.) I, as you can imagine, have been worried to death. Thank goodness she is doing MUCH better today and surprised us all by jumping up on the bed to greet us like her old self. Yay! So here’s hoping for a drama free week as October begins.

It is so much fun to see these adorable children enjoying nature.I adore them..Miles has always been a joy and it doesn’t seem real that our precious little 2 year old is so aware of the wonders of life.. What a pair.. I have NEVER heard or seen them whine or get upset over anything… Oh I must say, last time I wanted to hang with Miles and chat..he said, he wanted some privacy. 5 going on 14

They are getting so big! I hope you didn’t touch the nest. My friend got bird mites from a nest. I hope your pup is okay!

These are beautiful, Betsy! Definitely makes me wish we had an orchard nearby. Lucky!
