Some dear friends of mine here in town threw me the sweetest baby shower this past weekend. I knew before the day even came that it would be a beautiful morning and that I would feel so loved. So I wanted to make sure I created a little hostess gift to show my appreciation.
What I ended up making was so darn cute (hope that doesn’t sound too annoying for me to say!) that I couldn’t help but share it with you guys. It’s more of my covered button magnets, that I just love to make, in two little gift sets for the hostess. When I showed John the ones I covered with hot pink fishnet material he said, “Ohhh, those are racy.” He’s so cute.
Thanks to John for the idea of sandwiching two magnets between a piece of cardstock for the the display. Though you have to be careful and make sure you make the magnets so they attract each other and don’t repel. I have a whole baggie full of magnets that hate each other, not suitable for gifting. Sigh… though they will find their home in my office as soon as I get my magnet boards up.
By the way, I found a place to order buttons online so I don’t have to pay through the nose for them at the craft store. You can find them at this store. I found bulk magnets on ebay, but I just realized you can buy magnets from that store too.
Ok, I should totally be making dinner right now but instead I’m blogging about covered buttons. Can you see how BAD my ADD is right now? It’s really out of control. So with that, I’m signing off.
