adventures in reading at the king house

The other morning John attempted to read to Miles and Jocelyn with the pugs horning in. What happened next was pure hilarity to me. I had to make a quickie video, set to one of my favorite Sesame Street songs, to demonstrate the nuttiness that is just simply reading a book on the floor at our house.

You would think capturing Whisper’s tongue sticking straight out like this would be a rarity. Um, nope. I have many photos of this oddity. It never gets old though.

Thanks for taking a peek into our nutty world. Oh and P.S. notice the over flowing laundry basket on the couch in the background? Oy vey, this winter laundry duty is kicking my butt! I can’t wait for summer when we all just wear bathing suits and I don’t have to track down four matching pairs of socks every day.

Hilarious! As a side note, when I read your favorite Sesame Street song was with it, I hoped it was Menomenah (sp!). I was already humming it in my head when it kicked it 🙂

OMGoodness! That was very funny! Your little girl is so laid back with those dogs! Love how all the action is with Jocelyn and the dogs. John and Miles completely ignore it and get on with the story!

Ha! I love when Jocelyn throws her arms up like, “Can a girl get some SPACE!” How funny.

That is one of our FAVORITE songs! We watch the YouTube vid frequently! :- ) That John is quite the kid-dog-book juggler! He makes it look effortless!

I love the pugs! I totally get the sock comment…sometimes I put Mal in sleepers just to avoid finding matching baby socks!
