happy birthday Olivia!

For you LONG time blog readers, you may remember Olivia. She was one of my earliest photography clients for her first birthday last year and her cuteness won the heart of Matilda Jane and was a model for the spring line. We were back to shoot her two year photos last weekend. She’s all grown up now and just as sweet as can be. Prepare yourself for some major cuteness and some of the creamiest skin you’ve ever seen on a little girl.

We started out with a little peak a boo around the tree.

Gotcha Olivia!

Peek a boo! (Let me tell you, you have to be in FAST paparazzi mode to shoot these little ones!)

We went on a walk and her little jaunty hop here cracked me up.

There were plenty of opportunities to get some mommy daughter snuggle time. Livie is such a sweetie with her hugs & giggles.

I know first hand, from my own little marathon runner, that the key to getting a family photo with a toddler is finding a railing (or something) to sit on and keep everybody close and contained. I spotted their front porch railing as we approached their new house. It worked perfectly. (I”m saving more of these shots for the grand finale blog post. Sorry!)

Ok, I’ll be nice, one more family shot and then I’m saving the rest for later! Can’t you just hear Livie say, “Yea!!” I can! (As an aside, Jessica, Miles now says, “Hooray!” all the time, so our two would be quite a pair.)

Thanks for inviting us to capture your sweet little lady, Jessica & Todd! She’s just so precious, I want to eat her up!

Oh, and I had to share the sweetest story that Jessica shared with me about how Olivia felt about the shoot.

“So yesterday we took Olivia for a walk in the neighborhood. We walked through many of the same places we visited during the shoot on Saturday. While we were walking Olivia looked at me and said, “I play with Betsy & John here”. It was the cutest thing. She then said, “I have fun with Betsy & John”. She has been talking about having her picture taken ever since you two left on Sunday. I know she will be beyond thrilled when she gets to see pictures of herself that you took. Thanks again for making it a fun day!”

Awwwww! Isn’t that the sweetest thing! Just because of that, I’m posting one more photo. 🙂 You can tell that I know Jessica is DYING to see some photos. Poor thing, I did make her wait a while to see her sneak peeks as this week has been a little nuttier than usual. (Oh, and of course the election was like a holiday with all the buzz that came along with it!)

Ok, I’m shushing. You’ll see more of this little sweet pea when I post her slideshow in a few weeks.

Betsy – Thank you, thank you, thank you…not only for taking amazing pictures of me and my family but for helping to make Olivia so comfortable around you and John. She felt totally herself and I can see that in some of the pictures you shared. We all had a great time with you guys that day. It was obvious Olivia enjoyed herself because she is still talking about it! I cannot wait to see more! And as with all of your photos, I am beyond impressed! Thanks again! 🙂

    Oh My Gosh!

Betsy, you are amazing!!! Livie is such a cutie, but she also can’t sit still! Not only do you manage to capture her on film, but you capture all her cuteness and sweetness!

As I scrolled down, I kept finding new favorites – and then when I got to that last photo…….

Can’t wait to see the rest!!!!

I am one of Jessica’s friends. I also do photography and I have been a fan of yours since she posted your site on her blog. I am in awe at your eye and ability to capture the spirit in anyone you photograph. You do amazing work and Olivia looks so precious!

I’m sorry, but she has got to be the most adorable femme-child I’ve seen in FOREVER. . . . Does mom believe in arranged marriages? :o)My six year old son says she’s a “pretty girl”.

Your ability to capture personality on film is impressive. I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos. You should be shooting for Baby Gap! You have such a unique talent. Judy (Olivia’s Nana)

I am truly inspired by your creativity. Olivia is such a beautiful one, and your pictures of her seem as if she simply posed, just for you. You definitely are a natural…do you make house calls to Florida? 🙂
