jackson turns one: the movie

I just watched Lily and John’s slideshow again and it just makes me smile from beginning to end. Such a cute family and you’ll notice mommy and daddy had a little mini photo shoot of their own towards the end. I figured once you have survived your baby’s first year, your relationship is at a whole new level of intimacy (intimacy = together you’ve cleaned up more bodily fluids than you ever imagined) and mommy and daddy need some one on one time, even if that is just for the camera. Lily, you look GORGEOUS, despite that garden being 100 degrees! (How do you do it? I melted the minute we walked in that place!) John, I’m so glad you were able to make to this photo shoot! It was wonderful meeting you and I truly hope we can find our way to Atlanta sometime soon.

So here you go, Jackson turns one, the movie. Enjoy! I chose a Harry Connick Jr. song and I think it’s PERFECT for you guys! (BTW, I TRULY thought I would marry Harry Connick Jr. when I was in HS. Like I seriously thought it was going to happen. Isn’t that hilarious? That, and Dean Cain from the Real Adventures of Supeman. If I had only studied half as hard as I dreamed about who I was going to marry…)

But I digress, back to Jackson! He’s so cute, I want to squeeze him. (If only you could catch him! He is a FAST little crawler.)

I posted their sneak peek right away so their family could see it over the holiday weekend, so check them out here.

Happy Holidays to Lily, John and Jackson!

PS To all of our clients, if you are including a photo from one of our shoots in your card, we would love to be included on your Christmas Card list! We LOVE seeing our photos in action. Just know, ours will be really late this year. We like to avoid sending them when all the rest of the cards come so ours stands out. Yep, that’s the only reason we send them late… 😉

Love your website and love your work. I love how you found a perfect balance between professionalism and personalism here on your blog. I read it every day and it is one of my favorite photography logs! (And I am subscribed to a LOT!) 🙂

Very cute! I thought I was the only sixteen year old in 1992 who even knew who Harry Connick Jr. was. 🙂 Honest to Pete, the ONLY fan letter I ever sent someone was to Harry. He sent back a signed picture and it was on my wall paper covered bulletin board for years. Ha!
