Jocelyn, our sugar plum fairy

Jocelyn found this red dress at Target last month and she instantly fell in love with it. She is all girl, swooning over beautiful dresses and shiney baubles, touching them with her hands and leaping deep into an imaginary world of her own making as she imagines donning these items. I secretly bought it for her, shortly after that afternoon in Target, and waited for the perfect day to show it to her for a fun little shoot at the studio. She was so excited to have her pretty dress (and ballet slippers!) she wouldn’t stop dancing. I think she would have slept in it had I let her. (You should see the pretty pink one she is getting for Christmas!)

I am in love with this photo shoot so much. She was so earnest as she danced, she looked like a little pixie. Our little sugar plum fairy of our own.

I happened upon your blog awhile ago and am secretly obsessed with your beautiful family, especially this precious little girl. As a mom of 3 late teen/early 20 year old boys, I imagine having a little girl just like her. Enjoy both of your children- they truly do grow up so quickly! I admire your photography skills, too!
