Meet Katie, who is so sweet and laid back that she didn’t even bat an eyelash at meeting me at 8:30 AM on a very soggy 68 degree morning for her shoot.

Oh, and a big thanks to her mom who let me pick a chair out of their living room and take it outside for her shoot.

Katie, you are ADORABLE.

I was loving the gentle wind that morning. It was helping to show off her gorgeous blonde hair.

In Katie’s backyard was this pond that they told me had a beaver dam and they see beaver swimming around all the time time. How awesome is that? I really dig this photo. I just love how relaxed and beautiful Katie looks framed by those cattails.

This photo was inspired by a this shot as her mom just loved that look. So we tried it with a new spin. I love the vintage blanket and how naturally beautiful and happy Katie is here.

So some of my seniors might be wondering why Miss Katie gets five photos for her sneak peek instead of the usual one or 2. Well, since I’m all booked up for 2009, I have started to squeeze some more sessions in by shooting them on Saturday mornings and processing the rest of the photos after my 2009 clients have been completed when the snow flies in the winter and I’m shut inside not shooting as much. I’m honored that Katie was very cool with that and still chose me amongst all the great photographers out there. So later on, when this funky summer weather has been long forgotten, we’ll get to re-live it again with Katie’s full blog post.
