look what showed up at our studio door

I realize that I blog about our pugs a lot. Pug owners are usually pretty nutty and obsessed about their dogs and I suppose I just might fit a bit of that profile. (Though I swear, I do not own a pug T-Shirt, though my late husband did and wore his proudly and very well.) So I realize that when I blog about Whisper and Stamp I’m totally exposing something that some people might find a bit weird. However, showing my nuttiness for my pugs has prompted a very sweet blog reader to send an adorable gift for King Baby 2.0.

Nick Tucker, a sweet blog reader from Canada saw this adorable stuffed pillow pug while walking by a shop in Montreal and said it had the King family written all over it. (Awwwwwww!) He sent me this photo as a little sneak peek from his shopping trip as it made it’s journey through International mail to get to us. I was GIDDY with anticipation.

So the next thing I know, this adorable little button eyed pug was showing up at the studio. Actually, it’s not little at all. It’s actually bigger than life size! Since Nick did such a great job with the nice artsy photo, I was a bit more utilitarian with my photo taking of it.

Miles FLIPPED out when he saw it and I have to admit, so did I. What a sweet and thoughtful gift for us as we await the arrival of our baby.

So thank you so much Nick! Not only did I get a very sweet gift sent in the mail (which honestly, is just the most fun ever!) I met a new blog friend! The photography world is full of the nicest people. No wonder I’m online all the time.

Thanks for all of the support from everybody as I anticipate our next baby. It’s been so nice to see people be just as excited about this baby as they were for my first. Speaking of which, I’m getting VERY close! I’ll write a separate chick chat soon on how everything is going, but I’m at the point where the baby could come any day now and he or she would be considered full term. We are at less than a month away from my due date. HOLY CATS!!!

For now, I leave you with my last pug filled post for at least a week or so. I mean, I don’t want you to think I’m CRAZY or anything.

Sooo cute! I am so excited to see your first photos of your little one because I know that baby will be so cute and you will do such a great job capturing that precious image. I babysit for a great family weekly for their “date night” and LOVE it. Getting to snuggle a 1 month old baby girl is the best but it was hard to not have as much 1 on 1 with her older 2 yr old brother. She has the teeniest tiniest pinkie fingernail I’ve ever seen! I need to get a photo of it!
