more disney fun

While touring Disney one afternoon, there was a crowd gathered around the sword in the stone. People were trying to pull it out and getting photos doing so. Our buddy Ken gave it try, to no avail.

A cast member gave it a whirl, but to no avail.

Miles walked right up and BOOM, out came the sword. He FLIPPED out and I have to say, the kids all around him who tried were like, “What he heck?”

It was the cutest thing ever!

See, I told you it was magical!!

A big part of a successful trip to Disney is figuring out where to eat. We did our hotel’s continental breakfast in the morning, ate lunch on the run and then had dinner reservations for dinner each evening. (Except the first night where we ate dinner two hours late traveling to Epcot in search of food, which took forever. We learned that lesson the HARD way that first night!) We skipped the character meals since Miles doesn’t like costumes so we focused on great food instead of characters. Who needs to get reservations for character meals at Disney when we have our own little characters to entertain us anyway?

Joss watched the cook at the Japanese restaurant cook the food in front of us. Teppan Edo had AMAZING food. We were starving, worn out and it was perfection.

The last morning we treated ourselves to an early morning room service breakfast. So sad to leave, so we might as well eat like Kings!

Ok, I REALLY need to force myself back to reality. Thanks for letting me share some of our first Disney magic! (I’m sure I’ll be blogging more, actually!)

So cute! It must have been that pirate strength! For future Disney vacations, certain times of the year they have free dining but it books up fast. It includes 2 meals and 1 snack/ day per each person over 3. ALL the restaurants are included in it, including character meals. That is what we plan on doing next year, i’ve heard the meals on site can cost as much as the room sometimes!

OMG that shot of both Ken and the hilarious looking tour guide (he’s Ira Glass’s twin!) are cracking me up and then you get to Miles and that is PRECIOUS. Like, maybe somehow a computer knows when a four-year-old is up who will most appreciate pulling that sword out 🙂

Either way, it’s been fun reliving this trip with you! Wish we were neighbors so I could come hear about it in person!

    Hugs, G
